Just noticed I have a nice 3-4 inch thin scratch below the gas tank door. Its quite noticable up close. Anything I can use to buff it out? It doesnt look deep.

Use Nu finish scratch remover or the meguiars gold to buff it out. If its not deep then its still only the clearcoat. Keep buffing it until its gone or lighter.

This should belong to exterior maintaince.

Sorry didn\'t quote the post above me...

Sratch X. Maybe others will have different results, but a few members found it useless.

There should be a thread about it in Exterior Maintenance.

I used Scratch X once and hated the results......I would definately try the Nu Finish first.

Scratch X is good for thin scratches. But if it\'s deep, I suggest to use other brand (Nu Finish?).

I used scratch x but I followed the instructions on AUTOPIA (http://autopia.org/) - these guys are crazy on here; they breathe and live detaling

Already two threads regarding scratches.

Moved to exterior maintenance and locked.
