well,

its a slow night in waterloo and i cant sleep. goingn back to my little home tmrw (well today) ANYWAYS i was having a conversation with my friend about watches. she reminded me of 2 watches i read about in this forum i go to. anyways here are my 4 favoureite watches, not because i know anything about watches, their movement, makers, jewelers vs watch makers, but because i like the way they look. here they are!

Vacheron Constantin. Tour de l\'Ile (http://www.vacheron-constantin.com/250/tourdelile_en.html) <--- 1,500,000 (this was the watch i was reminded of)

Chronoswiss, Opus (http://htexplained.com/watches/Chronoswiss/ReviewChronoswiss.htm)<--- 15,000 (this was the other one, but was overshadowed by the vacheron)

Parmigiani Fleurier, Bugatti 370 (http://www.lacotedesmontres.com/Parmigiani-Fleurier-Bugatti-No_3117.htm)<--- 200,000 (LOVEEE the uniqueness of being able to see the movement in this watch)

the chronoswiss is a BARGAIN at only 15,000 usd! what my friend said is true, \"u just like complcated n fancy stfuf =b\".

damn i would take any one of these watches lol. what kind of watches do u guys have/like? i would post a picture of mine, but it looks so \"7\" compared to these lol. mine is just a \"fancy/complicated\" looking timex expedition chronograph lol

ummmm.... $15,000.. Whatever...

I bought a $20 watch 7 years ago...another $20 watch 5 years ago... Both still work perfectly fine.

Thank you very much.

Wow, I appreciate the uniqueness and the diminutive of the Bugatti watch, but how the heck are you supposed to tell time?

I use an old TAG Heuer F1 Chrono on the weekends or playing sports. Similar to this, minus the red hands (only the second hand is red):
http://www.dschoon.co.uk/images/76.jpg

During the week I use an automatic Omega Seamaster (not the large James Bond models that everyone else has). I love automatic watches. Similar to this but without the unidirectional bezel and the face has a \"wave\" pattern:

Its my dream to own a TECHNOMARINE \"DIVA\" watch... They sell around $3000-$6000 depending on how many diamonds you want and face.

I\'m sure you could get a watch that shows the movement for a smidgen of the price listed on some of those watches. Not feeling any of them.

I think it\'s time for me to get a new watch as I have been wearing the same Tag Heuer Professional S/EL 3000 Series Auto/Chronometer (blue face) for almost 10 years!

I don\'t wear a watch, I use my cellphone to keep track of time.

Anyone know who makes better watche Seiko or Citizen? And where I can nice watches at great prices? I\'m looking for something in the $200-$300 range. Need something for company functions and social events.

Seiko watches are better than Citizen. Citizen watches are cheap.

Some of the Seiko watches can run up to over 1000. IF you wanted a decent Seiko watch I think you might have to spend closer to 500. Some of the Seiko kinetic watches are nice I used to have one a long time ago and now they look even nicer.

Depends what you like... a leather band? a metal/bracelet type band? Check out the website for the many many choices...

ahahah.. in all seriousness at one point i went a little gaga over this watch (http://www.tissot.ch/?mod_collection/id_touchscreen/fid_0001/of7_16/action_show)..

http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/3944/ttouch9af.png

i dunno why.. i guess the whole \'touch sensitive\' faceplate.. but there are clocks everywhere you go.. cell phones.. cars.. PCs.. mp3 players.. etc etc.. so i don\'t see a need for a kickass watch except for the \"i\'ve-gotta-compensate-for-my-small-cock-effect\" :D unless it\'s a wedding/graduation/accomplishment gift..

Prices in HK are definitely better. I got my Tag back in the day in HK for what would turn out to be half the retail price it was here in Toronto.

Some people just like having nice watches, just like they like having nice cars and clothes etc. It\'s a functional accessory. I would rather spend a few Gs on something else, but my watch was a grad present and compared to some of the Rolexes and big guns out there my watch is a small player.

My wife wanted to get me a new watch as a nday gift one year and I told her to save money. Not necessary.

btw... that Tissot is pretty nice looking... carbon fibre face :) Does that make your car go faster when you wear it?

:p

12 years ago, I won a Swiss Army watch (and a trip to BC) in an incentive contest with a Blockbuster I used to manage, and it has never let me down. Ironically the battery is dead as of a week ago and I havent had \'time\':) to get it replaced.

The watch I would like to get is a Movado. Just like the styling.

I hate wrist watches, I sport a blue faced guess pocket watch. Its not on any chain or anything just clips on to one of those belt hoops on the pants. Need to find me a new one...

rather silly to spend 100\'s or thousands on a watch.

Flea market copies look the same and last for years... all for $20

I think this watch was designed with some \"safety\" reason: when you\'re driving a 1001hp Bugatti Veyron, you\'re not recommand to take your hand off the steering wheel to check time like you do with traditional watch. With the \"face\" on the side, you can check the time while hand\'s still on the steering wheel :p
But who cares about time when you\'re on such land rocket? :D
