OK, who else watched it? What did you think?

I read the book a while ago and from what I remembered from it and the movie, the movie seemed to follow the book. However, my memory in these cases isn\'t the best. Regardless, I still liked the novel that much more.

Saw it yesterday and liked it. Considering how much content they had to deal with in such a short period of time I thought they did quite well. And as you have indicated, they did in fact stay quite true to the book. I really hope they make movies out of his other books though, as I found Digital Fortress to be much better.

The movie was pretty good. Hardly as bad as most of the reviews that I had read about it.

Hope they make a movie for Angels & Demons. I find that A&D was better than Da Vinci Code.

It\'s quite possible that many of the negative reviews are coming from people who are either offended by the content of the movie/book and/or are taking it too serious. If you go for pure entertainment it\'s hard to knock the movie.

Besides the cheesy music playing constantly throughout the movie and Audrey Tautou\'s abmismal acting, the movie was enjoyable.

5 out of 10

I also noticed that Ron Howard was true to the book in every way EXCEPT for near the end. :p (At least I\'m pretty sure, anyways... haha.)

I\'ll let you guys try and figure out which part. :D

Actually, what the wife and I both found strange was that they changed the way Robert Langdon was first notified about the murder. In the book he is awoken while in bed at the hotel, while in the movie he is at his book-signing. Not sure why they changed that part?

i saw it yesterday!

i liked it!
i think that if u read the book u would enjoy it more!
the movie was entertaining
but it was too fast, i.e langdon figured stuff out with magic memory
and they in general figured stuff out very fast!

but they had to!
thats why reading the book b4 would have been better!

they were true to the story in spirit with subtle changes
and the did change the end a touch!

but over all i liked it!

and if Audrey toutou is the sophie, she might not be a great actress but she is cute!
lol

If you don\'t mind the French subtitles, watch Amelie. She\'s also in Dirty Pretty Things.

Read the book and enjoyed the movie. I only found one major difference and that was the movie only used 1 cryptex while the book had 2 (1 within the other). Also, if you never read Angels & Demons you really won\'t know much about the Langdon character since there is no character development in the DaVinci Code (both movie and book).

Saw it over the weekened (had to since my friends insisted :) )
My rating - not worth the price of admission.
Why?
Well, let\'s just say that despite staying 100% true to the source it was boring to watch, absolutely nothing to get excited about. Even when they chatted about \"historical\" events it came out flat and dull.
What\'s even more puzzling that the top talent they got for that movie made it even worse.
IMHO,
both actors were not up to the challenge and,
especially T. Hanks looked out of place.
The whole production appeared to be rushed to capture the paying public.
The other thing which really annoyed me was the fact that the 90% of the movie was shot with the low or no lighting at all (really dark). Yes, I know that the majority of events took place at night but would prefer to actually see them. Just awful.
If case you were wondering, I did read the book and didn\'t hate it like some.
I liked the reading for what it was - a very very good suspense/thriller story.
All the historical data was wrong anyway and there were so many errors/ommisions in the book it\'s not even worth discussing. You may look it up on wikipedia.org

Just my $0.02 ;)
