Okay, so now that the LOGO has been selected,
I want to finalize it.

I found a small flaw in the original design that I have since fixed.
Now I want to make sure that we are all happy with the font used for the website name.

Is everyone okay with it ??? (ie. lettering, size, spacing)

The truetype font I used is called SF AUTOMATON, that I found on the net.
Its similar to the Mazda font, but may not be exact.

Our original stickers used a different italic font for \\\"Toronto\\\",
And the letters in \\\"Mazda\\\" touched each other, like the real thing.

So, what do you all think ??
Any suggestions ??
Does anybody have the real Mazda font in truetype, or something better than the one I used ??
.... if so let me know.

That is okay, we dont want to match the exact Mazda otherwise we could run into problems.

I personally think the current font seems cluttered and blocky. I would like to see a font that is simple and clean.

perhaps an Ariel or similar font would fit the logo better?

I agree it is on the blocky side, but I still like it. I don\'t know a lot about fonts, etc, but I would want to stay away from the standard stuff, let\'s be different.

Latest attempt.
Real \"Mazda 3\" font with \"Toronto & .com\" bolder and italic.
Any opinions..... or has this thing been beaten to death. :sarc

Personally I like the blocky thick font (original attempt) The edit you did just doesn\'t look right. It seems to be unbalanced in a way.

For something that may be stuck to your car,
I\'m surprised at the little amount of feedback given.
Anyways, I have decided to go with this....

Usually I don\'t get into these kind of things, but since you asked for feedback...I think the font style is fine but seems too (wide) compared to the logo, the logo I think is awesome and it should have more prominence.

Just a thought.

Thanks,

I think Toronto should be a different font. We may know what it says,
but for promotional exposure it\'s not easy to read.

my 2 cents.

The kerning on this new one is all wrong, Mazda is so tight compared to the toronto and makes it look like a seperate word and a different font. The problem with the original TM3 decals is there was like 3 different fonts on different angles and such.

I wouldn\'t mind even seeing the 3 in the font used in Toronto to make it one solid word. The 3 badge always looks weird because the mazda is always so close togheter and then this this huge gap inbetween \"mazda\" and the \"3\". I mean the 3 is also in the gauges so why double it up in the web address?

I agree, I like the original (like the one on Xenon\'s Plate cover)

Personally, I think we should one single font for the url.

As above, we don\'t need to use the \"3\" or the \"mazda\" font. Just a nice simple to read, above is Agency FB 36pt.

I think on stickers, it will look better if the font is a little thicker (like on the original)... it will be more clear...

^agreed, the above was only meant as an example

Finally, some feedback !!!
Maybe we need to hold a website text contest. :p

To be honest, I wasn\'t fully happy with the original text.
... that is why I brought it to everyones attention.

After looking at a few alternatives using the original text design,
I thought the one I selected looked the best.
... I guess I was wrong.

Anything below tickle your fancy ???

How about restarting this thread with a poll?

TM3

unfortunately, polls only allow 10 items, which i may or maynot be able to change, but you can also make one selection oppose to pick a top 3 choices or something.

SourcE

considering the number of replies, and as such the interest members have, i would just go with the most popular already stated.

i.e. #3 or #9

:D

If we are talking SPECIFICALLY for a plate sticker, larger, bolder text the better.

If we are talking about sharing the text between all merchandise, then I think something stylish, simple but easy to read is needed.

I personally like 9, 10 and the varients that drop the www. and/or capitalize the important words TORONTOMAZDA3.

I can draw a logo....
But I can\'t figure out how to do a POLL :p

Anyways, I have narrowed it down to 3 most popular fonts
1 & 2 >>> Same font, different \"3\"
3 & 4 >>> Same font, different thickness
5 & 6 >>> Same font, lower & upper case

Personally, I like.... 1,3,and 5
#1 has the original \"3\" which is unique to our car.
#2 the \"3\" gets lost. Its too similar to the \"a\".
#3 the font is thicker which is better than #4.
#4 the font is too thin.
#5 uses lower case (like all websites). Its also easier to read and the \"3\" stands out better.
#6 is bold and simple, but like I said above.... lowercase is easier to read.

If someone wants to create a poll.... do it.
