Poor Gas Mileage!!! REALLY POOR

Hey everyone,

I\'ve had my Mazda for about a month now, it has roughly 1800km but it says i\'m consumming 12.2L /100 KM on average. I know this cuz I haf the INFO button. It\'s a 2006 model.

I don\'t floor it and I try to drive conservatively since it\'s Manual. Is there a problem with my car?

I\'ve noticed purely city driving gives me bad gas mileage compared to if I were to drive more on the highway.. what percentage have you driven in the city and highway??

I\'ve been doing my calculations by resetting the odometer after filling up and seeing how much gas is needed for a full tank and doing the math that way.. that is, if I drove 400km and filled up 40L then I would be getting 10L/100km.. not sure how accurate the computer is on the 06 models.. it could actually be off..

oh, and the worst I\'ve ever gotten is about 10.7L/100km with an 05 auto.. usually drive 50/50 city and highway..
