Hey folks

with me being somewhat of a country redneck, i have a cb-radio. Its very usefull for long hauls with a convoy, or checking on the weather, and yes, even listening to those funny truckers. I have few problems though.

1. The damn car doesn\'t have one single flat surface to mount it too ::sarc What i\'m thinking of is getting lockdown to put it down were the ashtray is, or two, just leaving it sitting on the seat LOL

2. I have this pass-through-glass antenna on my front passenger side of the windsheild and the cable is just hanging there. I tryed getting that pilar plastic off but to no avail. Has anyone removed the plastic on the pilars before? and is there an easy way to get this done.

p.s.
this is my unit...uhhh my cb-unit

I had this same issue with my GPS unit so I just wounted it to the windshield via suction mount. I\'m sure Jeff can make something work for you.

That pillar is just held in by clips so all you need is some patience and it will come off.

I\'ll go along with Joe\'s suggestion. Try not to have any holes drilled or any modifications that will look too obvious if the CB radio is not there anymore. I had a CB unit installed years ago (in a Volvo), but had it removed only after a couple of months use. I guess it didn\'t take too long before the excitement wore off.

Cheers !
