I THINK I GOT F*CKED

I bought a set of BBS STI rims off ebay end of April. Paid the guy and now its.... June 7th and still no rims :(

Last correspondence I\'ve had with him was like May 5th when he said he will be sending out my rims the following day and he\'ll email me with a tracking number.
No tracking number ever came :(
I filed a claim with paypal but really what can they do? Refund you $200? Big deal.

This kid is 19 years old and lives in Texas and drives an STI - so I dont know why he\'d want to steal $$$ from me. I even called him a few times but he ignores my calls as well.
I found him on a WRX message board and I see that he\'s pretty active there; he was even on today. http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/member.php?u=18419

So now its pretty obvious that he\'s ignoring me. I even registered on that website and sent him a few IM\'s which I know he read.

So now what???

Ouch, that sucks. When did you put a claim in with Paypal? What is this guys feedback like on eBay? When/if the time comes you could let him know that you are willing to call the police in his jurisdiction, though I\'m not sure they\'d care. You could also post up this experience on the WRX board where hopefully he will be forced to answer for himself. If he really does drive an STi I can\'t see him being hard of cash, but you never know.

I used Paypal but Visa doesnt recongize Paypal as a vendor; it is third party. I\'ve been through this when I had another issue with Ebay/Paypal and Visa was very strict that I wouldnt get refunded because I used a third party (Paypal).

I told him in the IM that I would post about my experience with him on the message board. I also told him in the second IM that basically at this point he has two options:

a) Send me a tracking me a tracking number with proof of weight of the package

or

b) Send me a full refund

or *ELSE* I\'ll be taking further legal action against him.

ive dealt with something like this before, paid thru paypal....didnt get the item (a prolumen vendor in the states from like a year ago) ;) and mastercard gave me full refund. maybe things have changed. good luck getting this resolved i hate sellers like this.

Also, if you don\'t mind spending a couple of bucks on calls, you can contact his local police Dept and file a report as mail fraud is a serious crime in the US and the police will contact him which should scare the rims or money out of him ;)

This reminds me of a similar issue that took place over the Internet where the \"kid\" scammed money from someone but that someone and a few friends went to the kid\'s home. The father was there and they told him the story of how his son screwed them out of some money. The father then took the kid inside the house and said (did?) whatever. :p Came back out with the money AND some of the son\'s prized possessions!!!

It\'s called payback, in the event he dosn\'t send the goods...thats what I meant.The IRS are vultures,(they have to pay for thier huge military somehow). You want to screw anyone in the states, just show any proof that they have received monies that most likely has not been reported as income......and I believe in this case he took like over $800.00 from an unsuspecting soul.If nothing else, at the very least they\'ll put a little black mark next to his name on thier system.

I would post this and your story on the board you know he frequents. He and those around him should be made aware of what he\'s up to. Never underestimate the power of shame. At the very least you may prevent another person from being taken by him.

I told her that her son stole $1000 from me LOL

Ok well I thought I\'d wait and be patient because his mom sounded pretty serious she\'d resolve this.
So yesterday I shot our friend ERIK an email just saying as per my conversation with your mother she advised me you\'d ship me the rims and I\'m just curious whats the status.

He actually EMAILED ME BACK WITHIN HOURS
Here is the email;




dear Agatha,

the rims and tires are 45 pounds each. which would make shipping 90$ per package. ive been tryen in the past two weeks to find a freight shipping company to ship them out but i cannot find one that sends to ontario canada. with the shipping around 300$ its up to you what you want me to do with them.


I told him I still want the rims
I advised him to ship with USPS GROUND. As I had Porsche rims shipped from Florida via this method and I had no problems.
I already paid him $130 for shipping so the $263 I got refunded from Paypal (came out of ERIK\'s account) I told him I\'ll pay the difference. (I dont think he noticed that he\'s short almost $300) So whatever...:D
