NEW Plate Cover and Decal Design

Ok, so we have our new design...

Now we have to decide on how our new Decals and Plate Covers will look.

DECALS & PLATE COVERS
The decals and plate covers (for their purpose) should have the website listed on it. Please post what you would like to see in regards to the decal (just the text, image and text or image with text in more readable font).

PLATE COVERS
Our plate stickers will be replaced by full plate covers. The covers will ONLY have text on them, as by law, we are restricted to how much of the plate it can actually cover. What I need to know is if you want the plate text to be the same as in the logo, or in a more legible text.


PLEASE TAKE NOTE IN BOTH CASES ANY TEXT MUST BE LEGIBLE AT A GLANCE!!! Or the point of the decal and plate cover is defeated.

I would suggest the writting only \"torontomazda3.com\"

But I think that the \".com\" may not fit..

if the .com won\'t fit as standard, maybe shrink the font a bit...

there\'s no question that the text will fit. It can\'t be too much larger than the text we use now for our current plate stickers...

Another good comparison is Mazda of Toronto\'s plate covers. the font size and ours wouldn\'t be too different, with the exception of the 3 and the .com (MAZDA of TORONTO vs TORONTOMAZDA3.COM).

My main concern is legibility from a distance. can the font be read from a car waiting behind you at a red light?

I\'m assuming you aren\'t referencing the decals, since decals we can make any size and are therefore not restricted to space.

I did a test print of the logo using the following....

I set the total width of text (including .com) to 10-1/2 inches.
This resulted in the following...

>> The font hieght was 1/2\" and the 3 was 5/8\" high
... the text hieght of the current window sticker is 9/16\"
... therefore its only 1/16\" shorter than the current sticker !!!

Using the same text width (10-1/2\")...

>> The LOGO was 5-3/8\" wide X 2-9/16\" high


Personally, I think its big enough for the plate decals.
And we should use the same font on ALL items from this day forward.

Ok... I want to BUMP this....

wtom is out of the plate stickers and isn\'t ordering more because of the plate covers. and I want the plate covers ready to distribute by the meet coming up at the end of the month!

I also want to have at least a couple (probably 5) polo\'s ready. For Samples and sale.

If ANYONE has any objections to the proposed design below, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I will be ordering both the plate covers (We already know the design, so it\'s no problem) and the polos (I want to have at least 5 ready) on THURSDAY!!!!!

Orders for the Plate Covers and the sample polos were made today. I will post accurate pricing within the next couple of days.

Both items should be available to view (plate covers to buy) by the monthly official meet this month.

Approximately $30 for 1.
