Just thought it would be cool to have a thread of real life celebrity encounters.

Pics would be good as well

My encounter: When I was with Blockbuster Video (prior job from a different decade) I won a trip to Vancouver for 4 days.

During my stay, I hooked up with another Store Manager that knew all the hot spots and had a lot of celebrity clients. Patrick Stewart, Winona Ryder (now banned) :) and Dave Duchovney.

While we were drinking a $15 Ceasar at (I think) The 5 Star Bar, in walked Dave D. and the other store manager brought me over and intro me...

Not too amazing but it was during the peak of x-files and I was a fan.

Speaking of little girls, I bumped into Paris Hilton on Saturday, June 17th at the CK shop on Bloor near Avenue Rd. She was with her sis, both in a hat and huge sunglasses. They walked in with a casually-dressed body guard not far behind. Photographers were waiting patiently outside.

I\'ve my whole life ahead of me to meet them though.

I guess there is kind of one.
My highschool biology teacher is the spitting image of stewie from family guy. He acts like stewie in class and everything. He claims the character is modelled after him.
Also his name \"Stewart J. Burns\" appears in future rama as one of the producers.

I\'ve always wondered about that. It\'s probably just a coincidence and he\'s just shitting us..

Went to the Have A Heart Dinner hosted by the Leafs this year, so you could say I \'brushed\' with a number of the Leafs.

However - my true \"brush\" with a celeb - walked into Sandra Bullock outside of Alice Fazoli\'s (spelling?) downtown TO. No Harm, No Foul.

I grew up with and went to grade and highschool with a bunch of Degrassi kids. Through those connections had drinks with Neve Campbell before her Party of Five days.

Seen Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, Brandon(90210 fame), Lindros, Clark, in Toronto clubs.

Saw Stallone on University Ave when he was filming that stupid Indycar movie.

Just saw Bret The Hitman Hart lastweek @ TD Centre.

Saw Adam Sandler & the house keeper or what ever from that show Murphy something in NYC.

Ate sushi at a booth beside Dikembe Mutombo

Met Patrick Carpentier and Alex Tagliani when they were with players.

Met, Miguel DuHamel Honda motorcyle racer.

Went to a stag with a judge from Canadian Idle (fat white guy)

Met Jody Vance several times (I know her husband, it was his stag)

Was friends with Ian Thornely of Thornley band in highschool.

Seen Ben Johnson training at York U and driving a black Tesstarossa.

The girlfriend flew to Cali with Lastman/wife & Paul Godfrey on a Private Jet

She also spent time with Ashley Judd.

Apparently a friend of a friend has Natalie Portman living in the condo beside him right now.

Kathryn Humphreys, stood beisde her at Gretsky\'s, saw Domi there too. Which reminds me that I was also intorduced to Alex Pierson and hung out with her at a bar on college, a friend went to HS with her. Also had a chat with the voice of CityTV, Mark Daily.

A few months ago I saw Roller Girl, Heather Graham with some other actor then two minutes later I saw preston manning. This was outside of Royal York hotel.

I think I saw that kitchen guy from HGTV while I was walking to work this morning.

So what was Nigel like, was his ego as big as his head? Loved watching him race...too bad his was an ass when he didn\'t do well.

anyways, i didn\'t recognize them, but my buddy did!

so after they passed us, i stopped turned around
and started to sing thier song to them on the street

it was pretty funny, had a few people laughing!

then they followed us to the ice cream shop!

I used to bounce at Brant House, so always celebs coming in. Domi, Sundin and Belfour were regulars there saturday nights.

Too bad I wasn\'t in one night, where security gave a severe beat down to Andre Rison.

Apparently, he wasn\'t getting in or something and threatened to get a gun. They followed him to his car and saw that he was reaching into his glove box, so I guess he had a really rough night.

LL Cool J booked the entire club one night when the film festival was on.

Oh, and if you follow MMA we have some fighters that work or have worked there. Claude Patrick from canadian TKO. Rob Macdonald from Ultimate Fighter Season 2, who also fought last night on that live spike broadcast and finally managed to win a match.

Airport encounters.......just reminded me

We were at Pearson waiting for our flight to the UK.

I nipped off to get some snacks, and when I came back the missus told me I just missed Jackie Chan.

Disbelieving her, I went off in search, and lo and behold there he was with \"no word of a lie\" a large group of people all wearing some Jackie Chan dojo jackets and looking remarkably ninja like. There must have been like 20 of them, very surreal.

Actually, the title\'s been bugging me for awhile now. Celebrity doesn\'t necessarily equate to greatness. Paris Hilton = celebrity, but should not be considered to be a \"great\" figure in life (although some may argue she has a great figure...). Now, someone like Nelson Mandela, now that\'s greatness. And a celeb to boot.

Celeb worshippers need to get a life.

The airport stories reminded me that I saw Ian Hanamansingh (CBC News) in Toronto waiting for luggage. The flight before that, I sat a few seats in front of a sports caster, can\'t remember his name now, I think he is on TSN or Global. Bushy, curly brown haired guy, I was surprised he wasn\'t in Business class.
