The girlfriend and I have decided on Thailand for our honeymoon in October. Tentative plans are Phuket for about 7 nights then Bangkok for 3 nights. Nothing is booked yet so we\'re open for suggestions. Remember this is the honeymoon and not the stag! ;) She actually has a great Uncle that moved to Bangkok several months ago, we may or may not see him since he is always on the move.
- Hotel\'s, Restaurants, Sites and areas to see in Bangkok?
- Hotel\'s, Restaurants, Sites and areas to see in and around Phuket?
- Phuket is supposed to be back to normal since the Tsunami, have you heard otherwise?
- Suggestions for some place other then Phuket?
- What should we watch out for?
- Anything else that comes to mind?

Thomas (Hypothermal) got back from there recently.
I found a picture of him on his trip:

I justed booked the flights a few hours ago on Expedia. Now I just have to book the hotels in Phuket and Bangkok. The two I\'m look at are, Phuket Pavilions (http://www.phuketpavilions.com/htm/phuket/mainphuket.htm) in Phuket ofcourse and Banyan Tree (http://www.banyantree.com/bangkok/index.htm) in Bangkok.
i went to phucket and bangkok a few years back... phucket has nice sandy beaches, however, it\'s very touristy and not that clean either. Bangkok is very dirty and polluted.. taxi drivers will try to scam you and bring you everywhere else except where you wanna go. haha. but overall, people are friendly and some interesting places to see.

Any questions you might have feel free to ask, I did a lot of research before I went but as a backpacker. Phuket especially Patong is really nice but its overwhelmed by older white man looking for young Thai girls. You might wanna try out Koh Sumai its a smaller Island just off of Phuket, more quieter and relaxed.
yah, i would recommend koh samui... koh phi phi is nice too, but not sure how their recovery is after tsunami... one of the phi phi islands is where they shot the movie \"the beach\"
