ok, as a plug for the polos
i think 40 bux is a bit steep, but think about it as a donation to the club and maybe that will make it sit better with you!
hey Lawerence!
how many orders does it take until we get to a cheaper price for the shirts?

ok people!
i just wanna say this!
a lot of people said they were interested in getting the polo shirts, and they said they wanted them to be dressier, so that they could be worn at work and what not!
well, now they are here, so, i expect those people who were interested to purchase a polo
it is a reasonable price!
but, just to beat a dead horse, this is the kind of time that membership fees would have been useful, to subsidize the shirts . . .
but, Xe did post the donation thread up, i will be donateing after there is a bit more of an explanation on how the money will be spent for the club!

Just a small FYI: Yes, you can get cheap polos elsewhere, but some brand name polos cost approximately the same price.
Example (http://canada.roots.com/Product_Detail.aspx?styleID=01040949&dptid=1&catid =17&subcatid=&stylecolor=01040949_4804&saleGroup=& WT.svl=01040949)
And tax is already included.:p
Edit: Here is a more expensive example (http://www.guess.com/ProductDetails.aspx?style=M63D4308&image=M63D4308-BYH&root_category|90=Men&category|97=Polos%20&brow se=1&rpt=Department.aspx&pt=ProductListing.aspx)

Well I know the polos are moore expensive than what we originally estimated, but here is a breakdown of the costs:
Sizes S-XL:
Shirt: $19.99
Embroidering Fee: $12.00
Sizes 2XL-4XL:
Shirt: 21.99
Embroidering Fee: $12.00
So as you can see, even the basic polo costs 31.99 to make. These prices also do not take into consideration that we had to spend $168.00 to get our logo digitized to be used on all our future merchandise (hats toques, plate covers, jackets, t-shirts etc.
So all together, the 5 samples were over $350 after taxes. Our cash box just had over $200 in it. The rest was put on my personal credit card.

it is nice of u to front the money for the shirts man!
but u take a risk that way!
i am guess that is why u decided to get this member fund up!
i hope that we can sell enough to recoup ur expenses

Just a reminder, you can always pay in cash, in person. I actually prefer it that way. I have the PayPal option available simply because I know people have busy lives, and if you cannot make it out to one of the meets, and/or you are you busy to drive out to meet me in person, you can do it totally from the computer.

Not sure who is coming out tonight, but with the wife busy trying to train the little rugrat how to fall asleep on her own, I think I can make it out for this meet.

I won\'t make it out to the meet but i\'ve seen it yesterday.
I\'d take one in Large (in event of shrinkage) to support the club. :)
hows the subsidizing from MoT coming?
edit: I know that it might not happen. I just want to know how it\'s going. Of course that is not going to affect my decision to get a one.

We don\'t know. it is currently in the hands of MoT Management. It\'s not even confirmed whether or not it will happen.
At the moment, it is an idea, and nothing more. Please don\'t be relying on it or holding off your order for it. If it happens, it will be a gift from MoT.

I don\'t see why we need a separate meet to see the polos... why can\'t it be at like massiv mondays and AA thursdays, they give us the best turnouts anyways, and we know ppl are gonna show.
Like said.. deadline: July 15th 2006, 7pm

The two meets I setup are dedicated for polo info and sales. Of course members can purchase and inquire about the polos at any of the meets I attend to, however, I cannot gurantee that I can attend all the meets that happen throughout the week.
The polo meets that I have setup, I have specifically put time aside and made myself available for that reason.
