The GM Card

I have a GM Card Visa credit card, which I no longer use, but from during the time I used it accumulated a fair bit of earnings/points. I don\'t plan on buying a GM car (obviously) so what can I do with my earnings/points? Can I use them on other things (movie tix, gift certificates, etc) like you can with Air Miles? Can I transfer them to another points system like you can at points.com?
Are they completely worthless?
Anyone else in similar situation?

i think you\'re SOL :( .. i got this card as a student so i just kept it and used it.. i had about 5-700 points and then realized... GM? wtf i cut her up, took the loss and got the driver\'s edge card :D

I still have 600+ points with them. :sarc Keep us posted, since I do want something out of it.

IIRC, they had GM merchandise for redemption very early in the program.

I think they\'re transferrable! I read a post somewhere on another forum where one person offered to sell them. So find someone who\'s looking to pick up a POS GM product and sell them to \'em.

The only GM product I would consider buying would be the Pontiac Solstice. Other than that, that card would be useless to me!

hhahahaha I\'m in the same boat - got it first year of college and then chucked it after I realized its useless as I never plan on buying a GM car. I have a lot of points too :(

I wouldn\'t mine a Caddilac CTS. When you add up all the incentives, it can be quite attractive. Interior is abysmal for such a upscale car thou. Too bad, GM doesn\'t bring any of their Opel products over from Europe.
