View Full Version : August Cruise

Ok, so as per my other posts here, I\'d like to setup a cruise for mid--August.

I was thinking that we could cruise to one of these places:

- Waterloo Erbsville Track (1 mile go kart track, not bad pricing either)
- Creemore (Awesome Creemore Ale!)

Of course, these are just off the top of my head, but those places are nice. I\'d be willing to hear what other ideas you guys/girls have.

I don\'t want to step on any toes here, as I am new here and don\'t want to **** anyone off. If it\'s cool with you guys, I\'d like to set this up for August or something. I\'ll cede \"seniority\" to Broli if he wants to get something going.

Let\'s rattle around some dates and get something going. I\'m itching to get out of town for a bit.

Who\'s interested?

I\'m 100% down with the go kart idea. We would be doing 2 very fun things. Driving our 3\'s then going go karting! It doesn\'t get much more fun than that.

Awesome... I haven\'t gone karting in ages, so this would be fun, and we could get a decent group discount if we get enough people to go for the drive.

P.S. as far as the next AA goes i\'m definetly going to be there this time. Turns out last week I went ALL the way to the 400 rather than getting off at the 404 because I didn\'t get a chance to confirm the directions before heading out. So i will finally be able to get out and meet everyone and see wut everyone\'s rides are like.

My ride is boring so far. However, I just got the 3 tinted at FX Auto today, looks very nice. Next up is CAI, HIDs (Prolumen 6000k) and exhaust.

Justin!!

good man!

i am very interested in the cruise!

we did one in june i think it was
it was great
5 of us!
but a really nice drive
we did the Forks of the Credit!

so something different would be nice!

i would love to see 10+ cars this time!

and we need some passengers to snap some shots!

i will check my calander and suggest some dates as well!

Sweet... Creemore would be pretty cool, got great beer up there (Creemore Springs Ale), but apart from that, don\'t know what else is up that way. Collingwood is somewhat close, IIRC. Need to research it a bit more.

I have a digital camera and a digital video camera, so we could do a video of the cruise.

It would be awesome if we could get 10+ cars out for this... I think the weather would be decent enough if we went in mid-August.

LOL, can you imagine. Bunch of Mazda nuts ripping around in their 3s on a go kart track.

the risk with the creemore plan
is that someone drinks to much
and then they have to drive back!

that is always the risk with a car cruise!

so, drink responsibly people!

i figured soopabanana would pop his head when he heard beer!

:p

That\'s what I like to hear... I\'m not a go-kart junkie, so I don\'t know of the good tracks.

Ok, I think Adam and I were just surprised you suggested Erbsville because its in the TRI-Cities (Waterloo Region). Cool cool. :)

Ah... I just googled go kart tracks ontario, and it\'s one of the few that came up first, which is why I picked it. The other ones were too far away/not as nice.

Its a nice track (compared to most). Back in the day they\'re karts didn\'t have limiters which meant it was an awesome time around the track. The last time I went (a year ago) they had limiters on the cars.:(

I\'ve never been to the mini indy ones in the GTA but I\'m assuming the karts are faster, even if the tracks arn\'t as big or out door.

IMO

Creemore Springs = worst tasting beer ever brewed

BUT!

I AM however, a LARGE fan of beer festivals so that could make the beer easier to swallow ;)

It\'s definitely an acquired taste, much like mint sauce and crappy American beer. :D
