What do you have now? If you don\'t have the same transmission in there now as this one, at the very least you will need a new computer.

I have the 05, so its the 4 speed, the new o6s they have the 5 speed option right? So i was thinking if i had to replace my transmission i\'d get the 5 speed if its not too expensive

its not about the gas LOL If i was so cheap as to be doing it for the gas i wouldnt be doing it in the first place.
So anyone else know? i need a new transmission, computer and what else? When someone says comp do they just mean the chip or the comp? And btw there r USED parts and if I was ot find one 06 used it be pretty cheap...IF there r.. well there r always people totalling cars from the behind :)
Whats wrong with the 4spd? 5spd, was an option, so I doubt you would need more than the new tranny and computer.

That and $1000 + for labor...and voiding the warranty....and um.... maybe can\'t sell your car at a hight price because you switched your tranny. Since it didn\'t come with it.
I rather you sell your car and get a new car with those $5000+ k

I wouldn\'t do this unless the car was 10 years old. Waste of money. Just buy a new car if you want the 5-speed so much.

Anyone know where I can find a comparison of different AT Sportshift modes in various makes?
I know Road and Track had an article in their July 06 edition but I can\'t seem to find it anywhere!
Just want to read up a bit on what the differences are!

I'd rather trade-in my current car (w/4 speed auto) to a new, 2007 model with 5 speed auto. Instead, I'll use my supposed $5k budget for transmission swapping, as a downpayment for the new car. Less aggravation and running around talking to junk/wrecking yards for a used transmission. The waiting time might be endless and besides, you might not be assured if the used transmission will last as you were expecting.
Just my $ 0.50 after tax....
