A friend of mine just gave me his iPod Video.

I can\'t get iTunes to recognize the iPod, even though iPod updater and My Computer see the damn thing.

I have tried all the crap on the apple site, no luck.

Any thoughts?

THOUGHT: your friend gave it to you cause it doesn\'t work. haha.. just kidding.. don\'t know... never owned an ipod.

ipod is teh suck :D never owned one but how about flashing it with some linux firmware so maybe you don\'t have to use itunes? :sarc

maybe this will help? (http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/ipod-hack.htm/printable).. have you tried cleaning it with the simota filter kit? :D

Linux eh?

I\'ll give it a try, as for the filter kit, we still have to meet up.
