Shakespeare in the Park - Thurs Aug 24

Lets try something different!

Thursday Aug 24th. We will have a Meet at High Park to see Shakespeare in the Park
The play this year is

The Comedy of Errors
play starts at 8:00 PM
they ask for a donation of 15 dollars, but it is give what you can give,
i think 10 dollars is probably fine
bring ur lawn chairs,

this is a no Dogs and no Smoking event!


This should be fun

This is a play about long lost twin brothers with twin servants,
who happen to be in the same place at the same time!
it is a farce!

so, sign up,

why you might be asking?

well,

1. its different
2. its something that is GF and Family Friendly
3. who doesn\'t want to spend an evening outside watching Shakespeare in the warm crisp air,

btw, if it rains, they will cancell the play, it is based on the weather at 8:00PM

well just so u know majic!

they show it every tuesday-sunday intil sept 3
so you could still have a chance to see it!

they do movie night on mondays, but i am having trouble finding their movie schedule!

enjoying a comedy in Elizabethan english is always great fun
because, u always at the end wonder how you know what they

here is a review just incase someone was interested!

first off!

the play was excellent, very funny, the audiance was engaged the frequently!
all in all, an excellent hour and a half performance!

the seating is very uncomfortable!
VERY!
but u do forget about that while the play is going on, until you cramp up or until you get up!
lol


the funniest thing that happened was this

the play just started, and the character on the stage is playing harmonica, and then giving a soliloquy, about how he is condemed to death, and this is perhaps the only serious part in the play (as it is a comedy) and what should happen just as it gets very quiet,

thats right, the woman in the row behing be let out a very loud silence shattering toot!

oh man, it was very comical, hard not to laugh!

but it was forgotten as the play went on,

the best part was when the first servant is explaining to his master about the woman who ravaged him (the wife of the second servant, who had mistakenly assumed that the first servant was the second servant, as they were twins!)



i had a great time!
