Why Dont All 3s Have 2.3 Badges?

I\'m new, I know, but I\'ve seen some hatches and sedans with 2.3 badges on the doors, and some without ( including mine ).

Could that be \'04 models, maybe?

If someone could educate me, I\'d be forever indebted!

Or just grateful...:D

04\'s came with them
I have a late 04 and it didnt come with them; but my first oil change the dealership slapped them on.

i was told by the dealer that the 05s (when i got mine) didn\'t come with them, he promised to get me some badges in stock and a bottle of touch up paint....still don\'t got it.... :(

They were only put on by the dealers, for some reason the factory wasn\'t doing it to Canadian Vehicles so they left it up to the dealer to do during the PDI, or first oil change if it was an early 2004 production (dealerships werent shipped the 2.3 badging until Oct or Nov of 2003.

My \'05 didn\'t come with them. Asked my sales rep upon delivery so he put them on. Then I eventually took the moldings and the badge off :D

Hey, got a 100% discount on the badges. I went to the Mazda dealership in the Dixie Auto Mall (don\'t know the name/Dixie and 401), and got \'em for FREE! I was a little surprised, don\'t get anything for free any more.

I took delivery of my car in May 2004, and the 2.3\'s didn\'t come with them. THe dealer put them on at my request at my first oil change.

They are still there, and I have no intention of taking them off.
