General Motors Corp. officially announced Thursday morning at its tech center in Warren that it will be bringing the Chevrolet Camaro to market in early 2009. So those of you looking for an 07 Camaro, or an 08 Camaro will have to wait a couple of years apparently. The next Chevy Camaro looks like it is going to be an 09 Camaro.

What were you doing when they announced the return of the Camaro months ago???

They cancelled the GTO too. But are gonna bring back another *muscle car using the Camaro/Monaro Platform. Some say it will be the Buick GN.

Debate rages on regarding the new GTO. I hope that it is not simply a rebadged Camaro as I\'ve seen mentioned on other boards. Kudos to Oshawa for winning the Camaro production and their multi platform investment. GM has made good on the next generation F-body promised to Canada CAW workers when they shut down Ste. Therese in Quebec. 2009 could be an excellent year for a three car garage.

What I really want is for Gm to also announce the Re-Birth of the Firebird:)
Then I will get the 3-car garage.

Long live the 400 cu.in. :D

I\'m just glad that the Oshawa plant gets to stay open now.....would\'ve sucked for all those people had they actually shut down the plant.

The Camaro is going to be quite the car, and I doubt it will be much more expensive than an MS3.

As for the GTO, there are many circulating rumours, one fact that is for certain is that it will not be a rebadged Holden (a shame in my opinion).

I haven\'t heard the Buick rumour but its sound like a good idea to instill a bit of image to the pension brand.

I have heard rumours that the GTO will come back again, so not to sure about a Grand National. Guess we\'ll have to wait and see.
