Like many of you, I enjoy photographing cars nearly as much as driving them. Canon just released the next generation Digital Rebel (2 generations better than mine :( ) Looks pretty sweet and the price ain\'t bad either (sub $1k body only). Of note
*10.1 MP sensor
*2.5\" LCD Monitor (for those of use who only have 1.8\" and envy people with bigger screens!)
*Self cleaning sensor (cool)

Already mentioned in this thread:

Looks like Canon had to reply to Sony\'s \"first foray\" into the DSLR arena. Competition is always good, if not for long-time Canon users with a nice collection of lenses but also for those wanting to buy their first DSLR. We have a level playing field once again.

Moved to the General Lounge.

I think Nikon came out with a new D80 too. Competition is a very good thing for us!

What\'s odd is that Nikon didn\'t include some sort of anti-dust vibration feature on the D80 as on the other two cameras. I guess they didn\'t think much of this feature to include it on this camera.

Back to the XTi, why make it in silver? I know the Alpha is available in silver but only in Japan.

Don\'t like how Canon named their entry level DSR/DSRL as Rebel in North America. But, it\'s better than how they call the 400D/Rebel XTi as Canon EOS Kiss Digital X in Japan :sarc

Aaarrrrrgggggg.
Why O\' why couldn\'t they put the anti-dust technology into the 30D! It only came out about 5 months ago! Wish I had this feature in my 30D. I\'m anal about dust in my camera. Looks like Canon screwed me good up you know what.

Agreed...that\'s why I bought a 350D and not a Rebel XT.

Clement, are you going to upgrade to the 400D?
