Don't expect Canadian dealers to do anything for you if you are experiencing problems that are on the TSB list. It appears the TSB is for U.S. owners. I guess Canaidian owners are not part of " Mazda North America" system DUH...

are you talking from experience??? b/c if you are not then you should just keep quiet.. a lot of folks here have had their cars fixed after showing the TSBs.. there are 2 factors.. the dealer you go to and HOW you tell them about the TSBs...

i had my glove box replaced and the 'thud' (bottoming out) fixed..

I want to clarify something for those people that always bring in TSB's for service advisors to look at. You can't just replace something under warranty b/c you saw it on a TSB.

There are steps each dealership has to follow in order to make a valid claim for warranty.

Oh and Ford Focus TSB's do not apply to Mazda vehicles.

Yes I am talking from experience. I have had the squeeky brake problem with my 2005 since new, and still have it. I phoned my dealer with no help from them. Phoned Mazda N.A. and was told the TSB did not apply to Canadian cars. But in defense I had my wiper blades and arms replaced, still not that great, and the tranny flash update. An inexpensive fixes compared to the brakes.
Sorry Majic, maybe I should have mentioned this in my original post.
What do you mean on "HOW you tell them about the TSB?" Maybe you should look at your post on how you worded it.

sorry that they haven't been able to fix it under warranty (TSB) if you qualifies..

What do you mean on "HOW you tell them about the TSB?"

i just meant there's a difference b/w some cocky 19 y.o walking in with TSB in had and saying.. fix it biatch.. it says so here.. do it! vs being polite and if that doesn't work escalating it to the manager and higher up..

but i see you've done all that.. have you tried another dealership? might be worth the drive to a reputable one.. just a thought

It's true....the dealer (service department) ALWAYS tells me not to look at the TSB's in the USA because it's completely different as it comes from Mazda USA, not Mazda Canada. They also tell me to avoid ALL the Mazda boards too.

In any case, in Canada, we tend to get Mazda TSB's later than in the US.

In any case related to TSB's let the service advisor do his/her job and they will check if there are any related to your cars.

okay just a quick question...
from what I have read and my experience over the past couple of days with MOC
TSB's are useless if my car is out of warrenty.
They are essentially there for the dealerships to know about known problems and what to do about them.
Am I correct? becuase im about to have to dish out $550 today to fix a known issue...Damn Mazdas

^I'm not sure.. but if it was a known issue that they've announced a recall for.. then I would fight the dealership to pay for it.

No, i meant the leather cover. I searched if there is TSB for steering wheel cover .This is in my interests too.
This is not Odata case but looks like this site is being refreshed more often. Plus here were TSBs for shutter valve, door rattle and i had desided to add this link. The design is unattractive but this is the best i have found.

for topic's base link i have found the alternative

Hey SAS, this is good info. But does anyone know if MAZDA dealers will cover these repairs? If not fully, then maybe parts? my wiper arms are corroded.

I'm curious if these tbs apply to new model year cars. I see a tbs regarding wipers for a mazda 3 2006, but mine is a 2007.
I know my wipers where crap from the first day, I did complain, but the mechanic said just to clean them.

I'm also looking into a rattling noise when i go over bumps and it seems my engine is louder...a knocking noise?

Regards,
Enji

TSB is only the well known cause of the trouble.
You can get repair for free if your problem is covered by warranty or by recall.

Sas, The first link there does not work.

The second link for the door rattle is for 2004 and 2005 models. I have a 2008.5. Is it the same issue?

The third link works. Got the info. Thanks.

Does anyone know if Oakville Mazda can fix the door rattle and the cowl rattle successfully?

Mississauga Mazda was not able to fix my cowl issue. But I don;t belive the tech had seen the bulletin.

Edit: The revised site sent by Sas is a good site and better than the link I attached as it is more up to date. I was thinking of a different site that had Mazda3 TSB and was difficult to navigate. The link I provided below is an alternative site from a US dealer...

Krakor, use this site instead. It is easier to navigate and read, although not as extensive or as up to date as the link SAS provided. t seems some of the TSB's have been removed that were there before such as the glovebox rattle...

Hi Sunkist. Well yes, they are mostly internal documents. However, in the U.S., I believe car manufacturers/dealers are required to detail all TSB's to the NHTSA governing body and you can always pull these up from the NHTSA site, although, not with all the detail. Some dealers in the U.S., such as the link I provided above, are very open with TSB's, which is something I wish they did in Canada also. It would save everyone a lot of BS and hassle.

It seems that it's sorted from New to old. If you open up any of the links, you'll see a list of make/model/year this issue impacts.

TSB is a "technical service bulletin". It's different from a recall. Think of TSB's as notes for a tech to diagnose/fix a problem that a customer may complain about vs. recall, being a safety issue (Ala Toyota and their pedal fiasco). TSB requires warranty, recall normally does not.

Either way, it's best for you to contact the dealer and see if they'll cover whatever it is you're having a problem with.
