Nice! Say you set it at 5200rpm, you gun it to 6000rpm or higher, then clutch in and shift gear, that means that the revs will just come down to 5200 and you can just drop the clutch then? I gotta try that out sometime. :chuckle

Needs a min of 500-750gb 7200 hdd. would be nice and extremely helpful to have a small ish (128-256gb) SDD for os boot, and caching
Would prefer a 17.3" screen, as it would make life soo much easier.

why are you buying a laptop ? What you want is a desktop with a handle. That configuration would weigh ~10lbs likely more...not so portable.

It's pretty sweet. keyboard and mouse are solid, keyboard backlighting is pretty cool can change the colours on it, a tiny bit heavy but I think it's still lighter than my previous laptop (which was also a desktop replacement).

I'm about to watch star wars in blu ray while I lounge in bed :D

going to try the bluetooth out tomorrow and hook it up to my car to see what my engine code is.

He only missed a tree by inches.

Yep, got to meet them, and chat with them for a few minutes. If you keep an eye on the Mazda Facebook page, you will likely see my mug up there in the next few days.
No performance, just an interview. Format was interesting, fans were sending in questions via msn and twitter, and certain questions were picked by organizers and their manager in the back, and fed to the interviewer. At one point though, all the questions coming in were streaming on a monitor they could see, and they went off script, and started answering random questions.

They are pretty chill. I meet them in the 90's when I was in England. They were in a record shop called Rough Trade, I recognized them, so we started chatting and they put me down on their guest list for a performance latter that night. Very cool guys.

Gab had 180k on his OEM shocks when he lowered his car and kept it like that for another 60k or so... I'd say depending on how you drive, and considering the KYB brand is better than just OEM equivalent, our cars could probably average about 100-150k lowered on KYB shocks. For almost 1/3 of the price of the Koni's that everyone here loves so much, I'd say that's not a bad deal.

Both of us have the KYB + Prokit combo on our cars now and love the ride. I say if you're on a budget and don't plan on putting 100k on your car in the next year or so, just go with KYB.

Yes thank you, I'm well aware & I do appreciate all the tips, I'd like to think that we are prepared, but I'm sure there a few things we haven't even considered. We do put on those tiny mittens to prevent her from scratching herself, they keep falling off after an hour or so. I may have to tape them on like boxing gloves. We also bought those infant nail clippers, personally I've been filing them down a tad. Much safer.

I'll check out the new maps tonight, but I have a feeling that all they did was neutralize all the load tables that would affect boost.

Even with the newer "boost based" maps, there is still a load table that could pull boost.
