So its -1 this morning and I didn't feel like walking to school, but its not good to drive such a short distance, especially in the cold. So you would think I would walk but no. I had my wisdom teeth out a couple years ago. It was horrible!! When they tell you about the complications and how they never happen to anyone... they lie!!!!

Now I'm sitting in a mall in Richmond Hill with a weak connection and nothing to do for the next few hours until my car is done at Avante. :(

I knew someone who had the anethesia go right to her heart and she almost died. I on the other hand didn't feel any pain afterwards so I can't say it was a bad experience. My brother on the other hand blew up like a chipmunk x 2 lol.

Oh geez...thanks guys. That really sounds very reassuring. How much did it cost? My buddy got all 4 of his removed and it cost him over 2k. My school only covers 800 of it...so its going to cost me an arm and a leg :(

hahah, you and I both, my blood clot didn't form properly ("and I'm not Jamaican man" --Kanye:chuckle) and I woke up after a nap at home, in a pool of blood. They had to shove a strip of cotton in there for a week to help form the clot. Damn that thing smelt terrible when they pulled it out.

Oh, if you want to avoid the swelling and looking like a chipmunk, ice it down once you get home, my brother did it and no swelling at all.

It cost a lot but my dental plan covered 80% so it wasn't too bad. Just a few hundred out of pocket.

I ended up with something called "dry sockets" on the bottom so I was in excruciating pain for days. I ended up calling the doctors emergency pager around 6 am when I just couldn't take it anymore and the percosets weren't handling it.

My wife thought I was a big pansy. She also had no problems with hers and was fine in a couple days.

They ended up shoving bits of gauze soaked in some sort of anesthetic down into the holes. I had to keep going back every day to have them changed.

Also, half my tongue went completely numb for about 6 months. Happily the feeling eventually came back. Apparently sometimes it doesn't.

Still in the mall. Had to wander around for a while to get a stronger connection. :D

4 adult teeth, 4 remaining baby teeth, and 1 extra tooth i had (literally, i had an odd number of teeth).
and i will probably have my wisdom teeth pulled eventually...

oh, and dont forget 4 years now of braces :rant

I got mine out back in January and it cost just over $1,000. My plan covers $1500 a year so I had no problems and it covered it all. The $30-40 that was not covered was just ignored and the dental surgeon or whatever their called said dont worry ill write it off.

They did a really good job, I only had a little bruise on my lip from the tools. I was under so I did not feel a thing, went very smoothly.

I was the same...it was great. Being wasted afterwards was great lol. I was eating normal food the next day. I have had 4 molars pulled before with just freezing and it sucked!! Getting knocked out is the way to go...

My mouth is currently more expensive than the aftermarket parts on my car :p
