Toronto isn't exactly a tourist haven. (Other than the odd parade)

I doubt we would get a lot of increased tourism if we had 1 "vegas style" casino. Vegas attracts people through multiple casinos, all having major shows, restaurants, etc. Also, in the US, most states don't or did not have legalized gambling. Canada is different in a sense, many provinces have various charity or tribal casinos.
Heard a comparison once that casino revenue was like a drug for governments. They love the initial stream of revenue(the high), but when that starts becoming old, they need a higher dose(more casinos), when they can not build more casinos or gambling or lottery, they lack revenue(crash from high).
They then have all the detraction's, and not enough of the benefits.

Fiancee coming to visit next week (from California)...

I should probably get my car in order... Where does one obtain a vacuum cleaning device to make sure its all spick-and-span inside? How does one wash/dry the all weather floor mats? Do I want to wash the car next week (after rains) or this week (and hope it doesn't get dirty)? Is it time to switch to summer carpet mats yet? How to clean leather interior anyway?

Just vacuum it at a car wash. Nice and powerful. For rubber floor mats I just hang them up in the bay of a coin-up wash and spray away. Of course I have Weathertech ones so I just leave them in all year - keeps the carpet mats in brand-new condition lol.

Looks like the rest of the week is supposed to be nice - do a full clean this weekend and a quick exterior wash if needed before the fiancee shows up.

The problem I have with Spence is that the 2 times I went in to one, I found them to be high-pressure, quite a bit more overpriced, and they grade their stuff via Gemscan.

Make sure you get a diamond with GIA or AGS. You know what you are getting for what you pay. I went through a private jeweler and was quite happy with the results.

Gemscan appraised the ring 3x higher than what I paid. I highly doubt I would ever get that from an insurance company if it were lost or stolen.

I'm excited but really unsure wether im gonna take it. The starting money is pretty crappy but it's the room for advancement that is really making me think.
