Just get your guys' supervisors/company inspectors to make sure everything is up to City of Calgary specifications. The Airport Trail bridge up north has been delayed a while because it didn't pass City inspections.

So the SE section is slated to open in October eh? Awesome stuff! Right on time to when I get back to Calgary full time.

It's not even the just the City of Calgary. Alberta Transportation is breathing down our necks. It's pretty hard to get everything as per the drawings because our designers are not that good either. It looks good on paper but construct-ability is so difficult that we have about 2500 site queries to just to be able to build stuff.

But yeah, the main road should be open in October but there will still be minor works to be done. You might not see any grass around that time. :chuckle

When you do come back, drive down the bridge on 61st ave, just west of 84th St. That was the first deck that I poured and is one of the good ones. :chuckle

I'm actually looking to just get a D but it seems that all courses are DZ. I know you can just go write the test but I'd actually prefer to take a course as they will give me access to a truck for the road test. Google helps so far but all government related sites are slightly confusing.

Well, it's definitely a lot slower here and people just seem to be a tad nicer overall.

Funny story:

Found this nice deserted road a few weeks ago with my photographer buddy in the car. Decided to do a JDM sideways park in the middle of the road to snap a few pics (cause that's hella-cool yo!). Saw a car coming towards us so quickly rushed to move the car out of the way. The guys started honking and waving and all while we're here thinking "alright chill buddy, we're moving, we're moving!" They eventually catch up to us and yell "no no no, please continue to take your pictures! This spot is great; I brought my truck here and did the same thing last summer!" They chilled for a bit and told us about some other spots to check out, and about his lifted truck (typical), etc etc.

I dunno, I thought it was a pretty neat encounter.

I'm on afternoons but off at 9:30 then for the next 8 out of 9 days I'm on vacation :D. Gonna be nice. And going to check out David Buster's in Niagara for the girlfriend's birthday. Anyone ever been there? I am kinda wondering what its like but from what I have been told its pretty cool.
