Also has anyone been having troubles with remote starters when its below -16 degrees in which it tries to start the car... car cranks for a while then goes silent... and the remote start thinks the car is on.... then when you try a second time it does start. I once got their premium version for free but after a while it would always redirect me to the play store on launch because it "needed to be updated" and from there it asked for money. I found a work around though , just open a tm3 link from the browser and when android asks how you want to open it select tapatalk.

As far as I know you get root access to the phone so you can install whatever apps you feel like...so for Samsung phones which comes with their own skin, you can root it and upload the raw android and not have to deal with their software/skin...very basic explanation as far as I know

On a very high level...you can tap into more of the phone's "capabilities" per say. Also, even more customization.

No not just making it look different...once rooted android phones can utilize a plethora of apps that a non-rooted phone cant...example ARLiberator which most people use with appradio

Well for android there isnt much since google doesnt restrict you as much as apple and thus you can get paid apps for free without rooting. But to date the only use I have had for rooting is to force my system to upgrade firmware because samsung never releases updates for the galaxy nexus on time. They are always behind. My phone is now linked to google directly so i get updates from google instead of samsung... problem is that my updater is now custom so i cant realy update it because the package fails to verify with the new updater. I still have yet to manually update and the update notification just sits in my notification tray.
