The older you get, the more you think about how short life really is and how there's a lot of better things to be doing. Like partying/drinking, especially every weekend, what a god damn waste of time. I'd rather spend my weekends building/fixing/learning how to do things, spending time with my family/friends, enjoying nice weather outdoors somewhere, etc....

Well this morning I took my truck to work and I'm so thankful I did.

As I backed into my normal parking spot and just about to get out of my vehicle I notice a lady backing up and tapping the breaks every second.

I think nothing of it so I turn around and I hear a thud. Turn around and the bumper of her Echo is between my bumper and front right tire.

Little scuff on the bottom of my bumper and she gets out practically bawling her eyes out. I told her not to worry about it as I really couldn't understand what she was saying with all the tears.

Her bumper either broke a clip or popped off a clip and only had a black mark from my tire.

If that was my Mazda, Id probably be pissed.

Anyway, eventful morning so far!

agreed, we should pretty much live for today while still thinking about tomorrow for our children (not that i have any yet) its scary how fast life can change, you read in the news how one moment someone is alive and the next there not. i don't regret my party days 10 years ago but if i could go back i would do it differently. I've been done with it for 3-4 years now and although I don't regret all of it, a lot of it was certainly a little much and not so good decisions. More so, I just can't handle the hangovers anymore.


My social media interactions have done down, facebook is just baby pictures and wedding pictures these days which is so utterly boring and I never got into any of the other twatter shit thank god. I think spending time on forums though is worth while, I usually have 3-5 forums I'm active on at any point in my life and have been an active member on probably a dozen. The wealth of knowledge that can be acquired beats out almost anything else (since you can not only consume but also question and then share) and you do make some good friends on certain ones as well.

Wow, last time I got really drunk to the point that I completely lost a few hours of my life, not remembering how I got to where I was at the time, was about 11 years I go I believe. Those days are definitely over for me and I seldom drink liquor these days. I would probably average 2 or 3 beers a month nowadays. Some would say it's a boring lifestyle but I, on the other hand, would say that it's just time well spent. :)

Although, anybody should have this experience sometime in their life. I would rather have done these things in my younger days than live that life when I'm older.

Pain in the ass. When we re did the girlfriends basement we had a lot of drywalling to do to the ceiling in the stairwell. God that sucked. Worst experience ever lol. But painting isn't always fun. We used that killz primer about 3 times over and one little window. It was bruuutal.

Both cases I don't like ... what is it there business if you're saving up for something? Frankly I'd just say I don't want to do it and/or my real friends know what I enjoy doing and will only invite me along to things I actually want to do.

Speaking of laughs, a few genesis coupes with quad exhaust and loud bov laughed at me for not ripping on the hwy with my 5 months old baby girl at the back. Of course as they pass, them BOV were going nuts. Never ran them before, don't even know how fast they are.
