I bought an RCA TV from walmart last year. remote broke and RCA now has changed its remotes frequency. Meaning no matter what I do i will never find a replacment remote. i bought at least 3 or 4 different universal remotes, ranging from a few bucks to 40 bucks. Meh, they just don't respect my schedule, which is unchangeable because it's school. They would schedule me every day, plus doubles, on the days I had off, which would give me zero days to get anything done for school, and I value school way more then a crappy part time job. Also the amount of work for the money isn't worth it. If I go back to serving I'm going to go somewhere that's always busy, because unfortunately bolton just isn't busy enough to make good money, and when you serve, tips is the whole perk of the job, and all the work you have to do. Just the wrong job for me, with my schedule. Leaving on a good note though, which is why I'm leaving now, because it gets to the point where I get sick of them, and end it on a bad note.

Yeah, seriously the roads are so bad down there. Pot holes literally everywhere, and so many of the drive ways / parking garages have massive speed bumps, or massive hills. Like it's doable but not enjoyable :P

I drive to downtown quite occasionally but when I do I always face some horrid roads.

I'm not trying to convince you. But I drive downtown with no problems. Yes the roads are crap but it's completely manageable.


I just go "nope nope nope" at the thought of using public transit. You meet the weirdest people on the subway sometimes.... And some people have no public transit etiquette.

Only form that i consider reasonable is the Go bus/train because I've yet to have a bad experience... Plus there's a certain quality of experience you get from Go.


I certainly have rarely seen a single person say thank you to a TTC bus driver while everyone on the go bus says thank you. Shows how much people appreciate it

I'm also not going to defend the idiots who ride the TTC. There are a lot of people with poor etiquette. But overall my daily commute is still reasonably civilized. It's not like I'm travelling in some US ghetto. "Nope nope nope" and wanting to avoid odd people? How privileged are you?

BTW I'm the guy that says thank you to the TTC drivers. Especially when one stops the bus halfway between stops so I can get my kid on with his stroller, or tons of other small nice things I've seen them do.

When I went to Denmark/sweden I used public transit all the time and everyone on the bus was well behaved ( ie no one having any obnoxious conversations that can be heard from the far end of the bus or other annoying behaviour).
Go transit also has a much more respectable ridership and they have actually done something about the annoyances such as implementing a "quiet zone" on trains.

Also I do use public transit but only when I have to. Most times I prefer just to take my car along with me. In some cases its quicker to drive and many cases I may be transporting something fairly large that would be a struggle to take on public transit. Usually where I do end up going I have had no problem finding parking as the only time I really go downtown is if I have an event to go to at a place with parking. Sure parkings a bit expensive but I usually offer rides to friends who are also going and in return we split the parking bill. And in some cases its more efficient for me to drive there rather than drive to a subway station and take public transit.




Also I say thank you too. But theres alot of people on the bus who just walk off without even giving it a thought. Its kinda sad when you think about how much attention to detail they put in making sure the ride is as comfortable and safe as possible.

My aunt and uncle are both operators. They put up with A LOT of s*** (people & traffic) each day so trust me when i sayThat thank you goes a long way.

LoL Christmas is the prime time to get stock of things like socks and underwear...good for the next year.

We still do gifts in my family although it gets harder every year to think of something...we are not the money, alcohol, gift cards, or lottery kind of family, so those will never be options. It seems though we're drifting away from many smaller gifts to one or two bigger gifts and we pool money together (ie my sisters and I all buy together one thing for each parent rather than individual gifts from each of us).
