I'm OK with how you normal people do weddings... What I don't like is how us brown people do weddings... 6 separate events at different venues and have to be on separate days... Oh and the entire extended family gets invited... Even if you barely know them.

You understand that a wedding is YOURS and not YOUR PARENTS. You can do it however YOU want.
Italians usually have very massive weddings as well, whether I choose to follow that or not is my own choice. Because if you're getting married you should be able to make adult decisions at that point, and not just do what your parents tell you to do.

If you're in a relationship for long enough that she is telling you what rings she wants, it's probably been way too long.
IMO, a proposal should be a surprise. I'm not saying it has to be so far from expected, but a surprise is nice.
If instead of yes, her response is it's about time.... If that's the response from your friends/family as well...

Well to an extent. You can respect your parents and keep what they would like in mind, but if they want a massive wedding, and you would prefer something small, they can not force you. Especially for people who pay for a wedding with minimal funds from parents. I guess i just assume as adults people make their own choices for something like that. There are also usually four parents in the mix, so if the couple has to do what their parents say, there would probably be a bit of tension from that. But I guess everyone has different parents/relationships with them.

I mention it because it seems that some guys are for it because the woman their going to be with is picky, and they "pick the ring together". Or like you said, the other side of it being, he picked the ring, and when he gives it to her the ring is also a surprise.
I'm honestly on the fence... I'm not sure what I would want. I guess some woman are just picky and too worried her man won't get the hint about what she wants.
Remember, she does have to wear that ring for the rest of her life.

With a Sri Lankan wife I've seen lots of "brown" weddings in our family and it's pretty rare that the bride and groom just do whatever the hell they want. I agree. There definitely could be nagging and such if your family expects one thing and you do something very different, just that if an adult was dreading it they could choose other wise.
I agree too that usually you end up picturing a weddings similar to what your culture already has because it's what you've always known, so many times you "cave" for small details, but the big details are similar.
My point was more towards asyed, that if he wanted he could go against it. Obviously there would be backlash but marriage is between two adults, not four parents :P

I don't want to pick out my own ring, I definitely want to be surprised. But if he asks what style/cut I like, I'll tell him. The only thing I'm insistent on is that it's not gold because I hate gold and that it doesn't exceed a certain $ value. I don't want to be walking around with a really expensive ring :P

I'm sure you could probably just scout Mazda tags/pages or tm3 members and just grab their pictures and post them up. People on Instagram usually don't mind if you post up their pictures especially when it's of their car (as opposed to a personal picture of them/family etc).
Would be a great way to add some variety to the page too.
Even if you just wanna grab different members pictures (people who follow the account or use #TM3 #TorontoMazda3 )instead of just any modded Mazda 3 pictures. But just taking them would give you more content. Sometimes people don't have time/remember/or know to send their pictures in, so just "stealing" their picture and shouting them out/tagging them in it would be a good idea too. Would help bring more followers to the page and help give you new content all the time.
It may take more time that way, but it could help the page grow.

Totally agree. We do scout out some pics but I always put out the call to be safe. With having multiple people posting to the account I just always want to know we have our bases covered. I also like to get a bit of a back story from the owner to work with so I can come up with a play on words where as Thattallbrownguy is great with the quick tag lines.
Side note there is a great pic of you from the Achilles BBQ that I'd love to post!

Ahh, I didn't realize it was a few people who posted to it. I guess that makes sense. But if the page takes off, you will get to a point where people will always DM their cars. And you can still post pictures people DM but to keep content fresh, and new cars always up, it could be helpful to try and scout some other pages too.
As for my picture, sure you can post it :P Not sure how much attention my car would really bring to the page, but go ahead :P

Queen west is beginning to bug me. I pick up my GF from work each night and cannot beleive the cyclists. I always knew it was bad but its just scary now. Also Pedestrians crossing on a red, texting, not looking where they are going. How do they possess that much dumb???
If I were to contact any ped. or biker, a horrible insurance nightmare would unfold. They act like they're bulletproof because they kinda are.

You understand that a wedding is YOURS and not YOUR PARENTS. You can do it however YOU want.
Italians usually have very massive weddings as well, whether I choose to follow that or not is my own choice. Because if you're getting married you should be able to make adult decisions at that point, and not just do what your parents tell you to do.
Brown parents operate differently. You can invite only a few close friends but then your parents will invite the effing full extended family till you go "who's that???" to 70% of the people there.
Im also going to make it a point that I'm getting married over here vs back home. I'd rather have my good friends and family over here ( as well as a few significant family members from back home can fly in) and have a relatively smallish wedding.

Have had one for a while...they're neat but not quite perfect. If yours starts randomly shutting off, stuff something in the battery compartment to keep them from wiggling around and disconnecting.

I'm tweaking some settings for it to work with Kodi (XBMC) but it works flawlessly for the satellite PVR and the AVR for sound.
What do you mean by shutting off? It dims and shuts off all the lights and the screen? Or shutting off when trying to use it?

Mine after a while started randomly rebooting itself even with fresh batteries...the contacts are crap and there's too much room in the compartment so the batteries lose their connection, it's a known issue with them. The auto shut off of the screen after 10 seconds is normal.

Made s'mores dip for the family tonight and definitely a huge success. Well the dish was empty about 5-10 minutes after I posted that. Sooo :P
But it's SOO easy to make, and costs next to nothing. Would be fun to add some like chopped peanuts to the mix to, or add a bit of Nutella to the chocolate. Definitely a success. Mode level: Easy.

Pretty sure all this stuff can be bought at the convenient store... But yeah, a good recommendation. Also great for winter when you don't have access to a baroque or fire.

Can't be transported to another dish. It would ruin the fun of cracking through the crunchy top layer of toasted marshmallow and mix the gooey melted marshmallows and chocolate together... It would ruin the WHOLE THING!!!!

On a positive note if I plan my day tomorrow precisely I will park Vixxxen with just 2-3 kms under 10,000 and delay the rollover 10 days so I have that to look forward to when I get back lol
