I borrowed the tool to compress the rear piston back in from them so I'm hoping they do lol. I'll call tomorrow when I have the coils on me. Can't get them till this evening.

Aren't the racelands also coilovers? Why do you need spring compressors, can't you just loosen the lower spring perches on both?

My coils (BC's) are the second largest factor in why I hate my car so much. And hate driving it. I bought my BC's a few years ago in a time where everyone had good things to say about them. Now, I vow never to buy BC's again. I've had nothing but issues with them, and hear a lot of others with similar stories.

Yup, that's true. Although depending on how used they are, blown BC shocks may be in your future sooner than you would hope [emoji14] lol hopefully not though. Hope it works out for ya! And hopefully you can enjoy the dampening adjustability of the coils and they're not seized up for you....unlike some people (ie me).

You bought a CVT lancer? You poor poor man. I've driven the CVT vehicles (mainly Nissans) and have asked people about them and they hate them. And a transmission swap is about 300 and they have many problems. The new tacomas are gorgeous same with the new F-150s. Can't you get the Tacomas in standard.

It was the wife's car originally. Then I traded my 3 for a GMC. To which she started using last winter (so she feels more comfortable driving in winter) - and never wanted to give back

So I got stuck with the lancer. And despite lowering it and adding SRI and what not - I just never felt inspired to drive it.

Lol that's understandable. Similar story to when I put in a new DIY third brake light. I had to have someone else step on the brake for me while I saw it from the back but then realized I had never seen my OEM one to really know the difference.

This weather blows. So much wind almost blew my car doors off. I have to work this Saturday which blows even harder. I also must do a wheel alignment. Replaced suspension parts in the front last weekend and can definitely tell the tires don't sit straight

So let's say we have a parking lot. And in this parking lot, there's one row of 20 spots. Half the spots are occupied with cars already (ie spots 1 through 10). Let's say two cars have just pulled into spots 11 and 13. After parking, both drivers need to get something from their backseats. So they open their doors while they lean in to get their things. Both of their doors are open (with them standing there as well) into the empty spot between them (spot 12). And suddenly, in comes a lady in a Lexus RX350 SUV, who insists on squeezing her vehicle into spot 12. Not any of the open spots from 14 onwards. But spot 12. Where the two people still have their doors open and are standing on either side of that spot. She ends up taking like 10 seconds pulling in from the front of the spot to the back, leaving only an inch or two between her fenders and either of the open doors of the cars next to her.


Someone please explain to me the logic of this woman.. #WTFFridays

My wife has SAD really messes her up in the winter/fall months

honestly get her to take Vitamin D supplements. The primary reason people get like that is when they are vitamin D deficient. The only way we get vitamin D is from the sun (a minuscule amount) and from our diet which is also a very small amount. Humans are one of I think 2 or 3 animals on this planet that don't have a built in vitamin D production system. We are meant to get it from eating other plants and animals that are high in vitamin D, but much of our diet now is farmed and has lower amounts of it.

It is also a fantastic cancer fighting vitamin. Doctors were amazed at my recovery compared to dozens of peers of my same age (21) when I had it and the only thing different was I was taking vitamin D primarily and a couple other natural supplements. My Tumor basically shrunk by 75% in the first 9 weeks compared to the other patients my age basically having minimal tumor retreat during the first 15 weeks. And I was up and about moving, walking all over town to get the other patients food from McDonalds or what not compared to them barely being able to talk or get out of bed to go to the washroom while we were on chemo.

I take 10iu a day, but she could probably get away with 5iu to balance out her mood.

So I'm saving up for a massive down payment on my next car. I'm not sure which car I want.
I've narrowed it down to 4 vehicles. (I don't want to mod out the next out, plain bone stock).

Focus ST
WRX (not STI because they can get expensive, and doctors wont gimmie anymore pills/creams)
Genesis coupe
BRZ/FRS (this one is slipping away the more I research it, not very practical)

For those with kids, Sunday is the Santa Claus Parade in Toronto. And I know bus/train services like GO usually have trains running when they wouldn't normally be, so if you don't want to deal with traffic and parking, it's a viable option.

damn...I ordered LED 7440 rear turn signal bulbs...got them, was soo excited to install them...but they are too long :/ like twice the length of the stock bulbs...and I also ordered the red LED brake light bulb...went to install it and realized my car already has stock LEDs built into the enclosure fml so far I am 0 for 2

Hopefully my switchbacks install no problems... :facepalm
