And honestly, after countless hours of research and comparing new laptops in my price range to what I have and what my picky preferences are, I'm tempted to maybe try and just revamp my current laptops internals if I don't find something nice for tomorrow/boxing week. It may be 7+ years old, but the hardware is still in decent shape. It's just the internals that are....well..highly lacking these days. A very, very frustrating experience to live with..

Did get me a new laptop though. Spent $300 more than I wanted though, and the boxing day discount for it was only a weak $100 off, so that kinda sucked.
