Legal or illegal what difference does it make? Guns can be had by anyone who desires one. That was the point. The liberal leftist idiots in the states are trying to ban the AR15 which is semi-auto and there are many other semi-auto weapons which can cause the same damage. Will they then want to abolish all semi autos? That's where it will lead.

The point was the ease of legal access to semi-automatics. I'm not even going to touch on the simplicity of converting them to full auto.


All methods would require 'some' planning and if you have read indepth about most all the shootings which have occurred, much planning was conceived before the assaults.

Without easy, legal access to the semi-automatics, the body count would have likely been lower.


You can be in complete disagreement, that's your prerogative, but if you follow the mainstream media you are being duped, as are many others. The poll you posted is just one example. CNN and MSNBC have both shown huge drops in viewership as of late, not to mention a couple other 'mainstream'. That is fact.

I think Lakefront would be good. Plenty of places by the water to gather in and fairly easy to access for west, Etobicoke, downtown and east folks.

Somebody learn me laptops!!

The 10 year old, $250 WalMart eMachines laptop just ain’t cutting it anymore.

So I need something for my tween daughter to upload/download/print her homework etc.


What to look for....what to avoid....
Minimum acceptable specs for today’s standards....any special deals that you’ve seen or heard of....what software it OS is easy for family use....

Looking to spend max $600

I've always been a Lenovo fan...but probably not in your price range. Really just about any new laptop will work these days, they're all pretty good...stick with name brand though so like Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, etc.

Biggest bang for the buck is amount of RAM (8GB is almost not enough for modern Windows) and SSD vs spinning disk (5400, 7200 RPM).

For the display (screen) TN isn't going to look as good (grainy look, poor viewing angle) but will be much cheaper than IPS screens.

Ideally you can upgrade components later too. If you don't want to worry about data transfer later (or Windows reinstall etc) get the SSD now. Size doesn't really matter since you can keep a lot of stuff in Google Drive etc.

RAM is much easier to upgrade but can be pricey especially if you wait too long and you need to buy new, old stock. RAM is generally just expensive right now anyways.

Flash/SSD memory looks to be bound for a price correction in the next 12 mths or so, which means upgrading from spinning disk to SSD would be relatively inexpensive.

In your price range if you can find 8GB memory + SSD and have to compromise on the screen and CPU you're doing well, imho.

Or look for a used laptop with an Intel Core i3 or i5 and upgrade the RAM or disk to suite.

Also depending on what you need it for look into a Chromebook which will be much cheaper but won't have Windows, Office, etc available.

I work at Red Hat now and even prior to that just use the Google Suite stuff for word documents etc. Works great for me. I haven't had a Windows computer in nearly a decade.

I’m a little sketch on HP because my all-in-one HP pavilion crapped out on me after 18 months.

It happens periodically on any of them unfortunately. The SSD is less likely to fail from drops, bumps etc because they are solid state vs mechanical spinning plates.

This one also has a touch screen which you're paying a bit for. Depends if you need that or not.

I had an HP for a while and it never failed on me. I was also being pretty careful with it because it was my laptop for consulting and was never leaving the house with it. Not sure if that made the difference or not.

our office, like a lot of corps, have transitioned to Lenovo and I must say they've been pretty resilient. Going on 2 years with my laptop and even with an upgrade to Windows 10, it still runs smooth (battery life could be better but that's a standard complaint).

I'd definitely consider a consumer grade device.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNot a ton here because the engine was rebuilt last summer and I'd previously done the suspension, rotors, and pads. Brake pads were upgraded during engine build.

Otherwise I'm probably going to order some camber plates since I can't find any used ones. I'll install those over the winter. Otherwise I've only gotta adjust the shifter cable offset a little bit, and get my USB cables run and setup for data acquisition and gauges. Have the stock AP3 mount I need to get put in somewhere too.

Been doing a lot of sim racing and race craft reading though :) Can't wait till spring for some lapping at TMP. I'm doing my best to NOT do a lot of changes to the car heh.

Bike's coming along. Wrapped it myself, installed a new battery and RAM phone mount, then got rid of the stock red rim tape and replaced it with a reflective blue strip.

Need to find the time to install the new rearsets and I've got an iridium windscreen, silver levers, and rear turn signals coming in.

Yeah pretty quiet in here now, the odd newbie here and there, very few of the old crowd.

Sad really, but who knows things can change, especially with the new turbo 3 coming out next year. You never know.

I just bought a Clone of my old car so im back in the Mazda family now.

Too bad about facebook... Im not on that platform ....turned my account off ten years ago.

Anyway way to integrate facebook forum onto TM3 and vice versa

Still have mine, just passed 357,000.

She still runs good too.

Yeah pretty quiet in here now, the odd newbie here and there, very few of the old crowd.

Sad really, but who knows things can change, especially with the new turbo 3 coming out next year. You never know.

I'm jealous of how well your 3 has done, as well as being a 2.3L.

I definitely miss my little go cart. With grippy tires and how the suspension was set up, I would never break traction in the corners. I miss taking on/off ramps at stupid speeds.

The Honda so far has a much nice motor, shifter & clutch than the Mazda had, but it steps out sometimes when cornering.

Once my lease is over next year I might pick up a nice 2.5L gen2 hatch. Just make another clone of the clone of Daileydose hatch. Minus the flies.
