I had to design a report in WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:complain Who even uses word???? Why bother paying thousands of dollars to a graphic design agency to produce something in WORD??? It takes twice as long as it would in InDesign, and it always messes up no matter what. I had about 6 people on me today informing me that there was a font issue in that stupid word document. Brutal. I get it people!!! Leave me alone already!!! ahhahahhah

And I have a legitimate answer...

I did A LOT of research prior to purchasing my 3. When I was at Mazda Canada's website pricing out a new 3 the 2008 models were still available (online) (the 2008.5s were there too) and of course I saw the Purple 3 which made my heart melt. But the Galaxy Grey also appealed to me greatly.

Anyways, getting to the dealership I figured going to buy a clearout 2008 would be cheaper than getting a 08.5. So I talked to the manager who said they had no 08s left (let alone a purple one) and they had 0% financing on the 08.5s so that's why I didn't get a purple 3.

And Purple was only available on two model years- 2007 and 2008.

And to be completely honest, the purple vision was never mine. But once you start something you can't stop

I understand that as most of you know i am in automotive tech and the theory just outdose the hands on. I dont aggree with that it should be the other way around. For example why do i need to know the material a ball joint is made of? If it is worn out its worn out and needs to be replaced. Or another one take apart a transmission (auto) and tell me all about the internal guts. An independant shop or a dealer will simply say outsource or get a rebuilt one and instal. It may be a "good learning experience" but in reality its not something you are going to see every day if at all

He is 76ish, he still can bowl, curls 3 times a week, and in the summer golfs 3 to 4 times a week. He wont let anyone else cut his grass but him, and he still uses his snoblower!

Mind you he considers himself half bionic as he has had a good majority of his artery's replaced, hip replaced, knee replaced.....side not, my grandma just had lung cancer removed a few weeks ago and had her first chemo treatment yesterday :(

Good to know. I have read up on it a lot since I found out and it seems to be quite common actually. My grandparents are still quite independent so I'm hoping it won't put a damper on their daily life. Good to know your grandfather is doing so well with it. :)

Yeah I've read it's pretty easy and only takes an hour or so for the procedure. I am really close to my grandparents and anything, and I mean anything bothers me. Even when they get a cold I worry lol. That's good your Oma has been doing well with it. The more I hear the more I am relaxing with the situation. :)

Ryan I take care of several patients with a pacemaker inserted on a regular basis. Prognosis is good and the procedure is very simple. Like you said it takes less than an hour to complete and some patients are even allowed to stay awake for the surgery.

One thing you have to remember though is that magnets deactivate the pacemaker. Fridge magnets and small ones like that will cause no complication but around a 5lb or greater magnet will cause issues. It has to be held directly on the chest to be deactivated so I'm sure your grandmother will have no issues whatsoever.

She will also have to attend a pacemaker clinic every 3 months to assess it's functionality and how she is coping with the device. Other than that most people can live a lot longer and have better qualities of life.
