I guess what really irks me, is that my team and I are not part of sales. We're on the deployment/operations side of the equation, so while we help drive the company revenue and profitability, for the most part, we are not responsible for the overall revenue number and driving new business. We execute on won business and fix the mess that often gets sold. On the other hand, sales is responsible for the overall revenue number and get paid hefty compensation on the deals made pertaining to their individual targets. The company has no intention of rolling back the comp plans for the sales folk, or even the CEO who is also comped, but they are cancelling the bonus payouts for all non-sales and non-comp'd employees as a result of sales missing theiroverall targets. So, the people responsible for the revenue and consequently missing the revenue numbers still get rewarded and the people not responsible for it, get screwed.

We're in the middle of perfromance evaluations currently and it's such a nice message to tell my star performers who have been working 16 hour days and not eligible for overtime, that they greatly exceeded expectations and here, have a smiley face, a pat on the back and an 'Atta Boy/Girl'. Let's just say motivation is not so very strong once highly skilled professionals realize that their compensation is no longer relative to their performance. I know I now feel 'liberated'...

I think the general rule is that you give them to the generation UNDER you... so regardless if you are married or not, technically you still give it out...

The marriage thing is just that there's 2 of you so usually you give 2 envelope one from each parent... so technically you pay double (or you can be cheap, pay the same amount but separate it into 2.)

I have new car stuff laying around in my basement that I stare at and can't do anything about. What good is car stuff laying around in the basement. I've got:

1. New gloss black mesh for my open mouth grille.
2. Side sills.
3. Window Visors.
4. My front lip.
5. New air freshener.
6. Xray plasma railgun that mounts under the car and is commonly mistaken for the original air box.

Unfortunately, I have no way of getting power to it so it's for show.

i figured it was the strut bearing, since it was making a clunking noise when turning.
well, i was kinda right.
i destroyed the bearing/strut mount. so, the strut wasnt attached to anything in the strut tower. just sitting there, being supported by the strut tower. as i lifted the car in the air on the hoist, the side with the broken mounted just dropped. i could shake the strut around the tower. i was a bit freaked out, cuz ive been driving my car like this for weeks.

i had to order another strut mount and bearing, ran me about $100. problemo all solved now, no more clunking noise!

***this is a warning to everyone else with coilovers on stock mounts/bearings. keep an eye on them!***
