Frankly, I think the main thing is it's hard to take someone seriously if the way they speak sounds like a kids way of speaking. Whether it's how they write on the internet or how they speak in real life. You say you're 22 and "not" in high school...but from the way you write posts, it's hard to take you seriously.

And don't think this is a shot at you because of it. There are plenty of people on the boards that I can't stand to read their posts because of this. The odd mistake or time they get lazy is one thing. However doing stuff like that in every post? Yeah, not so much. There are even friends who do the same that I will refuse to talk to online because of that.

Basically if you act like a kid then people will treat you as such.
