Dash strip and door switch plates

I didn't want to take a chance on doing the colour match of the copper red myself so I found a body shop willing to paint these items for me. Took the body shop one week to do all the pieces and the colour match is exceptional. All in it cost me $60.00 and I was very very pleased with the result.

Thanks RedRaptor.
fourtrack78, I did all the door switch plates, both front and back. The place I got them done at was Cool1AutoBody (1405 Bloor St. West, Unit 5). They are located at Landsdowne and Bloor area. Not a pretty area of the city by any means. I had my doubts about this place but it was recommended by one of the interns in my office who is a member of the Corrado Club. He got his car repainted an Audi Blue. I was impressed enough to give this guy a shot and I'm happy I did.
Wow... That looks amazing. Nice pics! I think you've given us all an idea now :)

Hey Cardi, What did you use to put the stills on. The first time i tried the two sided tape it came with and they just came off. Last night i used poxi let it stand over night and again they came off. Some info would be helpful.

hmm.. i have the light up ones and the 3M tape they came with was more than adequate.. just ensure to clean the surfaces throroughly before attaching the sills! some alcohol did the trick..

I used the orginal tape it came with. I first cleaned the plastic really well as majic mentioned. Applied the sills with pressure for a good 2 minutes straight. Seemed to do the trick for me.

do it in a warm environment as well.. if need be, use a hair dryer and the glue on the 3M tape might stick better!

those seat covers actually look suprisingly good. I just dunt like the idea of cutting holes etc...(i.e the instructions on the mazda3forums) but maybe real leather is the same too. did it just come like that or did you specify some things like double stitching on the edge etc..

The console cover is the only thing I had recovered. As Jeff noted the seats are stock with the luxury package. I wish I could get headrest covers with the Mazda emblem.

damn cardi.. that looks awesome.. I wonder if they'll do a group buy.. =) btw, how do you pop out the plates on the armrest on the doors?? did u just use a screwdriver and out they come??

That's right. I used a flat head screw driver wrapped in some cloth and very gently pulled up. It doesn't take that much force and they pop right up. Then I pulled old slowly and used a phillips screw driver to detach the switches from the underside of the plastic plate.

which end did you start prying from? closer to the door handle, or further away?

There is a clip closest to the hinge of the door that does not come out, it slides back.. so start furthest away from the hinge pop it up and pull back.
These also look really good in Winning Blue. Pics to come.
