I know there is a handful of you guys out there who own the OEM Sirius Tuner in your Mazda3.* So how's Sirius treating you?* To give some background, Sirius released an update of the their software this past Monday that was supposed to add all the Canadian channels to all subs in North America, and also add the Nascar channel.

But apparently sh!t hit the fan and a lot of subs are either missing those channels or worst yet...Mazda OEM subs are dead in the water with their radios being stuck in UPDATE mode.

Since I take the TTC for now, I didn't know of the issue until it was posted on M3F...went out to check my radio and it updated fine...however I didn't get the Canadian channels (I am on a US sub).

Here is more info on it:

This probably won't apply for 95% of the members here...but just figured I'd post it for the handful of OEM sirius users.

the best thing would be to have a relative in the states and get a american subscription because they have alot more channels apparently the canadian subscriptions are filtered because of some messed up Canadian law :(

Nah...you don't need that. MajesticBlueNTO and I have shared a US subscription for about a year now. All you need is ANY US mailing address and a credit card. They won't turn away business... ;)

I am sure that this could be found on our orginal site, but I thought I'd ask rather than wait..

Where did you buy your OEM unit and how much did it set you back?

I assume you installed it yourself?

Bought the OEM unit used from a guy from M3F. He got it from his dealership in the States.

Sure did. Did a whole write up on it too last summer.
