Alright the plans are going to be as follows.

There is going to be two trips of people heading over to Island Lake Conservation park. One batch earlier in the day and another batch in the afternoon. From there people will have the chance to do a photo op and we will cruise out afterwards. The cruise will finalize at Vinnie Zucchini's at Dufferin & Steeles.

One group will be departing at 11:00am
Meeting spot will be at AMC Courtney Park (Hwy 10 & 401 - just north of the 401) over near the McDonalds parking lot.
This group plans to go spend the day hiking etc. The weather looks to be really nice so some of us would like to take this opportunity to enjoy it.

The second group will be departing at 3:00pm
Meeting spot will be at AMC Courtney Park (Hwy 10 & 401 - just north of the 401) over near the McDonalds parking lot.

Official Meet will be at 5:00pm at Dufferin & Steeles near the Vinnie Zucchini's, so if people decide they want to go eat we can go in as a group.
Please post if you plan to come to Vinnie Zucchini's as we plan to make a reservation.

sorry we have to pay to park our cars there as well as an entrance fee?

thats ok if you ur going hiking and spending the day there
but i am not driving up there to pay to park and to enter the park to leave 30 minutes later!

Nawww man, that flat fee is if you show up in a van with like 7 people in it. Instead of charging you per person they give you a flat rate. I am just saying incase anyone decides to bring out the family. $18 is good if you have 5+ adults in your car, but I highly doubt anyone will. The word maximum is used to say no one can pay anymore then $18 per vehicle to get in the park.

I won't be in for dinner as I have a friends bday dinner to attend. I was just going to go up to meet everyone and check out other 3's. But I don't know if I will go up all that way for just 30 mins. We'll see.

It was really fun! We ran into some problems though with timing and the cruise ended up being messed up...but in the end it was a fun day. I mean I left my house at 10:45am and got home at about 10:30pm...

What I think really threw up off was that the second group left late and really killed the time to be at the conservation area. I would of liked to go around with them for a little bit. The cruise got messed up with some construction in Orangeville and the fact that the streets up there go by 3 different names. Stuff happens especially when no one really knows the area all that well. After dinner we hung around in the parking lotacross from Vinnies for a little while then headed over to the Tims at 400 and 7. When I left there was still about 8 people left.

The morning crew has a blast in the Conservation area, we couldn't believe how quiet it was. The hike wasn't anything fancy, just nice to be outdoors in some nice weather.

ya thanks,
found them after one hours struggling at esso station trying to figure out which map if the best (toronto map $10 only gives downtown up to northYork... no richmanHill, then the other 2 $30 maps....dunno how to read them!)
but eventually we figured it out and found the way there (pretty easy actually, just follow HW7, but without map we surely gonna get lost cuz it was a long way...)

Stir in the kale, cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes or until just tendet. Add peanut butter, hot sauce, and cilantro, and simmer 5 minutes more. Salt to taste and serve over brown rice.
