New gas hood props by Redline Tuning.* No more using that stupid prop rod.* The hood now opens with hardly any effort with one hand.* Sorry for the crappy pics.* My camera is buggy in grey light.* *:-\

How easy/difficult was the installation?

Thats a neat mod to get. And there's no rod to get in the way of the engine bay.

The install was a little trickier than I thought it would be. You definately have to have the right tools. You need a rivet gun with a pivoting head - the fixed head ones probably would not work well. I also used a depth gauge on my drill bit to prevent the bit from denting the top of the hood. I had to use my dremel tool on most of the rivets to remove the stems because they just wouldn't break off with the rivet gun. I think you have to be the incredible Hulk to break those things. I only managed to break 2 of the 8 stems.

The install should not be rushed - I planned out a lot of the steps to make sure it was done correctly.

I've done this sort of stuff before, so it wasn't that difficult for me. But if you have no experience with drilling in hoods, then I would be very careful.

Re-hosted pics (they were dead links before).

Brought this one back up since there seemed to be some interest in the hood props again.
