I was just talking to Joe today and I was ooh ah they are adjustable etc then like a smack in the face when I was looking through the mazda 3 forums I discover they have no warranty whatsoever.. like WTF thats a big bloody waste of time. Like why in the world would I buy something which has no warranty whatsoever. no wonder no one buys that stuff. I was like ready to throw down some money.....

Honestly, I've yet to see anyone have any real warranty issues with coilovers within the first year. If you ask me, the warranty is the waste of time.

is it just me or is the off-road use label and warranty two different things.
i got the impression from your earlier posts that they are one.

well for mazdaspeed the off road use thing is stated in the "orange" warranty specifications also stating there is no warranty etc.. I am assuming the teins r the same or do the teins come with warranty.

Here's the direct quote I got back from TEIN:
"TEIN USA INC will cover any manufacture defects for a time period of one year. Based on a thorough inspection by our R&D division, we will deter if an item is warrant. Unfortunately, we cannot assume responsibilities for any damages caused by misassembly, misinstall, incorrect usage or modification."
There you go :)
Thanks,

Ok Thanks. At least thats some warranty. I have been reading some of the post on the Mazda speed forums. Seems alot of people get Tein, I also been checking out thei website. Not all lines are available to the 3, which sucks, I would have gone withe spor comfort ones.
Questions which may have been asked before for those who do not mind answering.
teins EDTC or whatever that is to control the height from the cabin, is same sort of thing available to most other coil over maufacturers?
I have seen other names thrown up like Koni and Eibach etc. I have also read quite a long thread about tein pro kit i think? But I do not see that name on the website, it does seem to me that the Super Street is the only coil over they have that will fit but I very likely may be mistaken :)
Anyone here installed the SS with the eletronic controls? I wonder how they look mounted

Here's the page you're looking for, it has the Mazda3 products, the first 2 (H-Tech and S-Tech) are springs, the second 2 are the coilovers.
http://www.tein.com/ti/m66.html
The Pro kit you've heard about is an Eibach spring kit, not Tein. We carry those also BTW.
Thanks,

There is also Tein Basic coilovers. Which you won't find on the Japanese website because it's only available for the USA market (according to the product page). It is only ride height adjustable, though, but cheaper.

patrique: I can't seem to find a link in your post to a website. :D

I would watch your mouth. I just bought thousands of dollars of stuff from Joe , even though I would have saved some money if I bought my stuff elsewhere. Also I bought my car from mazda of toronto.. i do not think it is particularly polite to insinuate I do not spend enough money at Mazda of Toronto..or use ANYONE to only repeatedly check prices only and go elsewhere. Check up your facts with Joe, even before my recent purchase I buy LOTs of stuff from Joe all the time...who are you to come here and insinuate that I only use people for price checks.. get your facts straight.
And also I can only throw business someones way so often, sometimes it comes down to who has the best deal. In the end in has to work out for ME as the consumer. Buying from Joe at a premium works out for me this time because it is convenient not having to wait and ship etc.* Buying from Joe the last time i need thousands in parts, and getting them all shipped here to Ottawa was NOT convenient..and I only saved a negligible amount of money after shipping.. I did because I felt I needed to send some business his way, after making some enquiries before and not being able to buy anything..
I am a very concious customer.. I HATE IT when people accuse me of something I am not... So I am definitely not buying anything from YOU...to think I was actually thinking of looking you up the last time I called in to look into an upgrade....thats not going to happen now.
argggh some people just get me going.

I will be speaking to your boss .* *Bear in mind I do no appreciate that you come on here* yapping your mouth away at me.. of all people who has been more than supportive of Mazda of Toronto.. thats like slapping the hand that feeds you..... I have never been nasty to you in any way shape or form but yet you as an employee of mazda of toronto, come on here and bitch as you have to probably one of your most loyal customers, that is like defeating the purpose of your coming online.

Why are you always causing trouble on every board? Are you tryign to get everyone to hate you or something? Seriously, everytime i see your replies or threads are either questions and answers and crap and more crap and questions.
We all know Jeff is a nice guy and helped most or maybe even all of us at some point. And you're just here to cause trouble and screw everything up.
Don't think that you purchased a lot in MOT makes you the right to talk crap about them or there employees. Not like you bought AAAAAAAA LOT. Did you buy all the cars in the lot? doubt it. Just a few parts won't make you VIP of MOT. Just save a few breath and use your parts and carry on with your life. And you still don't like it, get the parts somewhere else and see if you're happy about that.
my 2 cents.

I think ur a bit dumb..... I didnt even say ANYTHING......and he decided to come on and bitch at me. If you do not know how to differentiate right from wrong then I am very sorry for you.* You are right.. me buying lots of stuff from MOT isnt a big deal, but as a customer who DIDNT DO NOTHING TO HIM... and HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING like what he said... I do NOT deserve to be accused of something I HAVE NEVER DONE.
Also"Seriously, everytime i see your replies or threads are either questions and answers and crap and more crap and questions", I think you miss the point of the forum in the first place is it not to share questions and answers? If you think my questions are bothersome you can ignore them, I do not only ask questions, but I try to answer them when I can with USEFULL info unlike some people in this board like to do.
Also I have never interacted with him before, that I can remmember why he chose to bitch at me for no rhyme or reason is beyond me, and he helping you or anyone else doesnt mean squat to me, for example a person can do a lot of community service, but if he commits a crime he is going to do the time regardless of what he has or has not done before, so your analogy/reasoning does not make sense.
So like always I will not take this lying down, I have already spoken to the people who need to know.* I seriously do not care if anyone likes me or not this is not a popularity contest or high school for goodness sake. I come here to exchange info with those who want to, and I post info for those who know.. most people appeciate it and I converse with some on PM and thats it.. If you guys want to behave like juveniles that is up to you.
If you do not want me to stir the shit then do not go posting stupid stuff like that.* I do not know where the hell you come from but standing up for what is right and standing up for myself DOES NOT make me the bad guy, even if you think so, it doesnt make it so.

Daniel,
I'd love to meet up with you. I actually live 10 min away from Mazda of Toronto. I'll buy you a coffee or something or a beer depending how late in the day we meet up. When are you coming into TO? I can't really do Saturdays because I've been doing some work at the cottage before closing season, but I'm pretty much good anytime after work (5PM). Let me know. I'll show you my RX8 rims (I haven't switched to winters yet) and then you can see how they fit on a Mazda3.
