If the picture was pulled from the internet (which I assume it was) and had no indication that it was copyrighted in any way, are they really 'stolen'?

If a bike was taken off of someone's lawn without their knowledge, is that bike stolen?

Regardless of whether there is a copyright logo or an explicit statement, they're using it for commercial purposes and should have asked permission.

I'm not sure I'd compare a bike one someone's property to a picture floating around on cyberspace, but that's why I asked the question.

Well, it depends on where they got the picture from... nothing really is floating around on cyberspace... it had to be on someone's website which is like on someone's property.
