Searching msn.ca & came across this link. Plug in how many km's you drive a year... what your car's L/100km's is and it gives you an estimate on what you would spend on gas per year, month, week, day & km.

I thought it was kinda cool. If you want to figure out what you spend... follow the link below.

It says I spend:

Year = $1800.00
Month = $150.00
Week = $34.62
Day = $4.93
KM = $0.07

I am too lazy to do a spreadsheet each time I fill up. I can't manage to find things when I need them. I just thought this was handy to know roughly what I spend in a year without having to spend time each week plugging in info :)

13.3-13.8L/100KM*[50L/360KM ~60L Tank] ;) ...first week was a bit better because of break-in driving mode :)

My Mazda 3 2.0 on the other hand did about 9.4-9.7/100k [45L/460KM ~55L Tank] ....had to have a heavy foot with the NA 4 banger* ::)

I always fill up no farther past the fuel light. Which 90% of the time nets in a 49.5L/51.5L fillup on the MS6. (same thing with the 3 but around 45L)

Keep in mind nothing but 94 Octane gets into my new tank...well worth the extra expense in milage and cost 8)

Very interesting. I'll download your xls when I get home =)

But using that msn.ca calc...

Home -> School ~20km
Home -> Lady's house ~50km (thank god this will change soon... no, we're not breaking up =))
Lady's house -> School ~35km

So averaging those values and multiplying by 2, I drive 70km/day.

70km/day * 356 day/year ~ 26k km/year

Using an optimistic estimate of 9L/100km and $1.1/L here are my figures:

$2574/year
$214.5/mo
$49.5/wk
$7.05/day
$0.1/km

Not too bad I suppose =)
