I find it simply amazing that the front and rear pads wear so drastically different. :D Anyone else have the same experience?
How thick are they when new?
40,700+ miles (65,500+ KM)

this is what all 3s should have ???, I changed my discs and pads @ around 65k, front pads still looked like new.
a friend of mine said his mechanic told him cause all Mazda cars rear pads are designed to slightly touch rear discs so the pads are wore faster than front. could it be true, I don't know, may be Joe can confirm this.

replaced my rears at 50K.. judging at the material left over i had 5-10K left.. the replacement Hawks rule :) brakedust almost non existent...

just rears.. fronts had about 70% or so left..

frig speaking of brakes... Im around 45k and when I apply the brake I hear a loud scratching sound from the rear passenger side. I think I need some hawks... ;)

I have the Hawks in stock right now. PM me if you want a price. I can also recommend some places to install, but pretty much any mech can do it.

I always change my own brakes myself. I've never done brakes on the 3 though. Should be fun in a couple of years when I have to do it. ;D

I've decided to hold off on the pads for now. I'll milk these stockers for all their worth!
