Was cruising through Oakville today, so I grabbed a quick shot of the white oak they plan to chainsaw. Beautiful tree, even without leaves.

The City shouldn't require the funds be raised to work around the tree, they should just do it. Once in a while we should yeild to nature where possible.

It is a nice tree, but come on, there are plenty of nice trees and for that amount of money I'd gladly chop it down myself if it meant the money could go to a better cause like feeding the poor or for some sort of research.

if this tree was in a forest with its cousins, we wouldn't have to rescue it

it is too bad we cant keep all trees in the world, but if they are in the way and can't be moved at reasonable expense, well . . .
