I don't think it was well thought out.

1. If looks like the rear reflectors were cut off.
2. Doesn't flow with the bumper. The seam between the original and the new is too aparent.
3. Overall the piece looks like it was tacked on and never meant to be there. The GV front lip was a perfect integration with the orginal design.

It really depends.

If it is leveled with the front lip and side skirt then its good. But if it doesn't then it'll look stupid.

hate it!

that is the worst rear lip

it covers half the reflectors!

as cardi said looks like an afterthought!!!

now, if it was moulded on and the reflectors were shaved out!!!

it would be hawt!!

I don't think it is as bad as you guys are making it out to be. There is a body line behind the rear wheel wells that it is following, just like the GV lip does on the front until it hits the recess for teh fog lights. I agree that is too close to the reflectors and makes them look like they are cut off, but at a second look it appears to sit just below the reflectors. If you shaved teh reflectors it might look better.

I think a simular look to this lip could be had by painting the black section on the bumper to match the colour of the car.

I agree that it looks ill-conceived and out of place. I'm sure it would be easy enough to fix though.

If all you did was cut out the part under the reflectors, to nicely form around them rather than continuing across in a straight line, I think that would make it look fine.

I can't imagine this would be hard to do.

here's my take....

the GV lip is a very subtle design, it flows with the lines of the car and almost convincing enough to think it came stock like that....and the rear lip should have the same idea...

most of the kits out there is designed as one complete kit and often are pretty outrageous, or all the pieces are designed to work and look good together, taking one part and trying to make it work with some other brands MAY not work.

here is a link to some of the available kits for the 3.

i think the best ones are still the aero flares made to just add on the side, and perhaps a separate piece diffuser to go on the bottom.

i think the a-toy flares look pretty good, the rear end of the red car.

or these ones, very similar, actually, i think this might match the GV lip better as the lines on the A-toy are too rounded out and blended, this orange one is still subtle, but has that nice little line/crease where it bends a bit more, and may match that of the GV lip

....................................

i would like to see something that keeps the stock black piece in the middle of the back of the car.

this is pretty nice too, but maybe a bit too much, maybe a little modification to it

the kenstyle looks nice and subtle.

Peter says he needs a GFX sedan for one week to complete the lip.

Unfortunately, no one is in a position to be carless. but one of our gracious admins has agreed to lend him a car for 5 days in January..

More info will be posted later..

I think if you go with the accolade skirts and the gv lip, it won't look leveled, I'm picturing it in my head, and I'm thinking the skirts will sit lower than the front lip, would you shave the skirt to level it?
