If anyone is in the same boat as I am and don't know what to give to a particular individual, post it here, maybe we can help.

Personally, I don't know what to give my 11 year old god daughter. Any ideas?

Excellent thread blunty.

For wifey, I've always had a problem deciding what to give her. I now know furniture and electrical kitchen appliances are out of the question.

Honestly it's easy. Just listen to her throughout the year. Once in a while she'll hint at "oh that looks so nice" or "oh I'd like a new ___ but it's so expensive." Of course, appropriately priced for "just" an xmas present. Got my gf a brand new cell phone. Nothing spectacular, just one that she's been eyeing for the past few months. Good luck!

Well we don't celebrate Christmas but her birthday was just one week ago. I got her:

- tickets to the Blue Man Group
- nice dinner out
- leather bag for work
- and finally permission to melt down her wedding band and trade in the diamonds, along with some other diamonds we had loose, to create a much nicer ring.

I just bought a Canon SD600 camera for my gf. $307 tax in.

Not bad for a good camera.

That's a great camera, a friend has it and the pic quality and features are outstanding.

took me 5 mins to take out my lip...
Jack up the car then electric screw driver, done.

But I was lucky to pick up a race jack last month to do the job.

Ya. I do it the poor man way. Lay down & try to get under the lip with 3" of space.
