We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join our Corporate Operations team, based out of our downtown Toronto Head Office. On this high profile team, this role is a key point of contact between our satellite offices, as well as all internal and external customers of RIS. The purpose of the position is to deal efficiently and effectively with our customers to identify their needs and implement the appropriate technical solution.
Customer service, accuracy, timely dispatch, and strong communications skills are the key deliverables for this position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-All aspects of desktop hardware and software support to the user community.
-Assisting the Facilities Manager in providing technical support to maintain the local/wide area networks, keep NT servers and desktop applications up to
date, and provide standards for installation and on-going support.
-Installation of desktop hardware and software.
-Coordinating moves, adds, and changes across the enterprise.
-Assisting in delivering internal training on desktop hardware and software to users, as well as regular documentation.
-Ensuring nightly back-up routines are completed as scheduled and off site tape storage schedules are maintained.
Experience - External:
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
-Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
-The ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 2003 Server, ISA/IIS and Windows XP/2003 Server.
-Strong knowledge of a variety of desktop software, primarily MS Office suite.
-Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN hardware and software (routers, modems, DSU, servers, routing protocols) as well as VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and McAfee.
-Experience with standard Call Centre process and procedures (documentation and follow-up).
