Is there even enough snow? I know they opened up last week for like $20 for something like 2 runs. So sad there is not a lot of snow. I remember last year, on Thursday we were hit by a major storm.
Oh well.
I'm up for Blue or Moonstone.
I' heard there was aleast some snow. The website shows the weather conditions up in collingwood. Apparently they officially opened this past Fri, Dec. 8. I know what you mean, I might plan to trip to Quebec, Tremblant.

update:
blue mountain hasn't replied to the e-mail yet.
They do have group rates, but I don't know the min # of people we must have.
My friend who organized the ski trip for another car club hasn't been online.
I'll keep you guys posted!

List of Potential Ski resorts:
Horseshoe Ski Resort:
Rentals: http://www.horseshoeresort.com/ski/rental_lesson.asp
Rates: http://www.horseshoeresort.com/ski/rates.asp
If we have 8 or multiples of 8 we have a good deal.
If we have more than 8 but not multiple of 8, I'll call horseshoe to arrange a deal. Group Rate is 20 or more people. They told me to call back when I have an exact # of people.
I went here for New Years Eve, its pretty good.
The runs are pretty decent but BlueMountain is more curvey.
Snow Valley:
Went here last season with Toronto Prelude Club but I was stuck on the bunny hill, I was learning snow boarding.
Rentals/Rates: http://www.skisnowvalley.com/tickets.htm
I recall TPC getting a group deal with around 15 people. I still have to call and ask.
BlueMountain:
Lift Tickets: http://www.bluemountain.ca/winter_lift_tickets.htm
Rentals: http://www.bluemountain.ca/winter_rentals.htm
They told me to call back with exactly # of people for group rate.
Edit: I can't see to start a poll. I'll start a new thread with a poll if people seeem to be split between ski resorts

WOW, it has been a long time since I went skiing or snowboarding. When did people start skiing/snowboarding on grass in 10 degree weather? lol :P

This winter sucks ass. When it finally gets cold enough for the slopes, they will probably be crammed.

for sure, I will be one of the people on those crammed slopes.
I went to Blue last week and only two runs were opened. Both were half melting. And before that I went to Horseshoe and there were 5 runs opened and it wasn't two bad. I think right now Horseshoe is the better choice.
