Since I paid $500 for snow shovelling service, I want the snow shovelling guy to work for his money.
Nothing but 5C, 6C, etc. in the forecasts. And rain. 'Tis December man.
Time for some snow!!!

Couldn't you get a $249 powered snow thrower? and do it yourself?

That's what you get with Global warming and all. GTA usually avoids many heavy snowfalls since we are on the good/bad (depending on your perspective) of the lake to avoid the snow flurries. IF you want snow, you have to move out of the GTA to snowbelt areas like Barrie or London.
I'm enjoying this nice warm weather, but you know a big snowstorm is gonna hit us sooner or later. Would be nice to get a white holiday season but I'll be driving to Monteal so snow would be a bad thing. :)

You have no idea how big this guys drive way is.
I've been there to pick up my sway bar and i don't think a $249 snow thrower will help. Unless he stands out there pushing that thing for 3 hours.
And +1 on snow......!!!!!
I didnt get winters last year and snow was dropping every friggin day. And now i got my winters all i see is rain. Ghey.....!!!!!!!!!!

SNap..!!
It would be fun seeing them suffer even with 2 inches of snow on your driveway. I'll film it and put it up on the board.

250 bucks for a snowblower? sure an electric one which has like 5inch clearance lol.
our family opted out of getting the snow removal service, instead we got a pimped outsnow blower. 30 inch clearance, 10.5 hp, power steering, power moving chute, hid-like headlights (lol), hand warmers, electric start, 6 speed (lol 6 forward gears, with 2 reverse). it gets the job done pretty quickly. and no, we didnt go overkill with our snowblower, its just that its really damn good; i WANT to "shovel" snow.
that being said, i ALSO WANT SNOW! my w300's cant take no more (this is their last season anyways lol). and the snowblower is just dying to move from its summer vacation.

Are you kidding?? I got my snows last year and was just dying to get my money's worth out of them. We really only had snow on the roads 2 or 3 times all last year!
I'm hoping for snow for the same reason this year. I want to play! :)

The reason you have kids is for manual labour around the house Whos ur dadd. Get them off their asses and let them understand the value of hard work. If they can run around and scream their old enough to run around with a shovel.
Sure it would take a 3 year old two weeks do it but think of the values you be teaching him/her. And pay no attention to the years of resentment they would have for you as they got older. That's nothing a good therapist can't fix.

+1.....I want the snow as well. I do not do any sports in the winter months, I just love to see it and drive in it.

What's that old saying "Be careful what you wish for"?
Some snow for a white Christmas would be nice. I'm sure we're in for it in January and February.

TheWUD could use the exercise. Should teach the guy to buy a house with a monster size driveway.

I like how you think, but their time is already committed stuffing flyers in envelopes and then doing the deliveries in the neighbourhood. They have to sand and stain the floors next, so I don't know when they'll have free time next. However, if they do a good job with the flooring, they'll be available for hardwood sand/staining projects at $2.50/hr each. Please PM me to secure the next available slots.
