Hey Guys, i haven't posted in a while, but have been reading up on the progress of the site... Looks good.

Last night my car was broken into. THis happened at Nathan Phillips Square, underground parking, (green P parking), so be careful when you're around there. Anyway, they broke the Driver side rear window (the small window in back).

Do you guys have any auto glass replacement shop recommendations? I was @ Apple Auto glass and was quoted 190 for replacement including labor. Considering how small the window is, it seems a litte steep, although I'm not too familiar when it comes to pricing for these types of things.

Any help is appreciated.

I could probably do that, but truthfully i wouldn't have the time for it. BUT, if i'm in the Markham Rd/Steels area, i may pass by the scrapyard there.

it's weird... all they took was my school bag and work bag... they left my blackberry, digicam, stereo was untouched... eh, it happens....

That sucks Mark. Was it the small quarter glass that got shattered? Let me know and I'll hook you up man.

That small glass with the molding is only $48.36 taxes in. Majority of that $190 must be labor.

Sucks to hear, sorry. Did they break in at night or during the day? I've parked at that lot quite a few times during the day.

It's too bad they didn't break one of the door windows. At least you can easily replace those yourself. :(

I have no idea how to do the ones that are glued in. It might not be much more difficult, but I'd hate to find out in a storm that I hadn't sealed it up properly.

I know the owner of the Apple Auto Glass near my dealership..

Which one did you go to?

I went to the one north of Steels... not sure what the street is called. ohh and Jeff... haven't forgotten about your CD's

Joe, that's actually pretty cheap... i may just buy it and take it to a shop for them to replace... I'll see if there are any cost benefits.

I'm not sure what exactly is involved, but the person at apple mentioned that for our cars, the prcess takes a while vs a corolla requiring only 20 minutes of work. Got it taped up, so i'm not in a rush to get it replaced... just can't park out in public at night for the time being :)

I parked at night, from 7pm to 9:30pm on the 2nd floor... should have parked closer to the entrance on the 1st floor... stupid me.
