I know there's reviews out there but I'd rather hear it from people I know.

My friend got this as well. Never good reception with it. Never be able to call him.

Thought so never trusted LG phones. She's got a money back gurantee so I'll make her take it back and get the Walkman phone.:)

+1 on the k790i.. return the LG and get the k790 or if you want more of a 'playful' phone with a wicked walkman and 4gb storage get the w810i.. just got it and LOVE IT!!!

k790 is my second choice only due to higher price tag but the display and camera are amazing (on both)

Well if you want to wait 2 months for rogers to fix an LG phone then keep the chocolate. Or use SE phones and if there are any problems and you want it fixed fast, pm me and i'll take you to my frds store and he'll fix it for you right on the spot. Max will take 3 days and its done locally. LG phones are fixable but not easy and most of the stores in pmall or FMP can.

i would have assumed the TG would be pretty well reception wise. even al01's kg had pretty good reception when he had it. just had some freezing and random restart problems lol

I just upgraded from a razr to the rogers lg chocolate. Like it much better. :) Would never go back.

I don't know of any practical way to tell other than swapping in a sim card.

you need to be careful on that, if he has gotten an HUP withing a year, you cannot HUP early, no matter what you pay. but if Joe is at the end of his 2 year tenure or 3, then yes, pay the premium and do it NOW!!

I'm eligible for a hardware upgrade right now - $100. But they told me I have to pay a $35 service charge. Apparently some corporate plans like the one I'm on have the stupid charge. Makes no sense to me. Why don't they just say I have a $65 credit?

Actually I just thought about it and it's not like having a $65 credit if I were to get a phone that say costs only $75. They would pay for the $75, but then deduct $35 - which means I would only really get a $40 net credit. Stupid service charge...

and yeah.. the corp HUP sux now.. it's $100 every TWO years and then you still have to FIGHT (I did) to get the admin fee waved.. and also $50 credit on a 3yr contract extension.. needless to say i got the phone for a good deal (not an excellent but a decent one)

after all i did the HUP 7 months too early (there goes $70) but i recouped it with the 4GB MS ProDuo i sold to the captain ;) phone ended up being pretty much free..

If i am correct, you do the HUP without the $10/mth penalty then you get the $100 credit, pick a phone that's $75bux (still have 25credit left over for the next bill since they OFTEN charge you the activation fee and then give you credit for it) anyway.. each time you call it's a different case.. ugh

so.. today.. -$100
phone $75
activation $35
you pay $35

next month you have a $25 credit towards your bill
and if you fought enough a $35 credit from the activation
